For two towers that people “hated” they sure have become even more iconic and revered than they were when they stood. RIP to all those murdered on 9/11
I heard a joke recently that was apparently a New York thing right after the towers went up. They would tell each other “Here in New York City, we have the Chrysler building, the Empire State building and now we have the two boxes that they came in.”
@@martintheiss4038 Note that the plane is closest to the north face of the north tower.... where the first "plane" is said to have hit... flight 11. Hey don't those towers look like the number 11?
I don't care for 9-11. It was just an act of violence and senseless murder. Not Faith. It was not worship of Islam. Crazy people who did not care for their own people.
The twin towers were the ultimate NYC skyline landmark... You saw a picture of their silhouette and instantly thought "New Yor City". The new tower is beautiful and iconic but it looks somewhat generic
Only because you are talking to the 767. In the good old days you could have seen 60 or 30 minute shows sold to tv networks promoting local areas like New York City, but done as a veiled advertisement for the carrier itself.
Mike, there were many more issues regarding 9-11 and the aftermath than the assault on the WTC. Sometimes Americans cant understand how individuals can act when given an opportunity to show your true opinion when circumstances would assume that you would have been against that mindset.
😱Creepy 😱when I was little and I was going to sleep and I saw this commercial and I saw the plane heading towards the north tower I was gonna scream I was almost like “agghhhhhh!!!!”
The end gave me goosebumps... and sadness. But don't blame the commercial or whoever made it. They didn't know what was gonna happen in the next 3 years. Or did they...?
If you want to go into conspiracy talk look into how AMR could buy 60 minute time slots on weekend afternoons touring areas like NYC but in a way that makes it look like a pet of the airline.
Piggy Oink Oink true and thats why the Hijacked American Flight 11 and 75 and they Hijacked United 175 and 93 cause they where like fuck United with there fly the frendly skys
Now that you mention it, I don't know when Stewart started seeing commercial service, but I wonder if they're also talking about the 'regionals' serving Stewart, Islip and Westchester.
The point being is that their six airport service could be sold to anyone coming through from anywhere else. Perhaps Tetoroboro could be sold by AMR as a short hop connector for long haul JFK passengers? I don't know their service schedule or even if that's a viable suggestion anymore.
If they had the money for a minute long advert they should have just shelled out for a 30 minute travel guide show promoting a destination, say New York, but craft it to be a sneaky way to advertise your carrier.
The random airline corporation knew about the biggest attacks that would end up destroying their revenue and tourist income for YEARS as people cancelled flights in mass? Yeah, makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it? 😂
another complete and total coincidence stop thinking about it they did it with box cutters and the desk fires melted the iron your being crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its called a hub airport. The point of the Lima schedule is to have Peruvian business end up becoming a two stop trip after handling stuff in Los Angeles or London. At the time all the carriers wanted to improve their relations with corporate accounts and businesspeople who had different options to go to different offices on business.
