Peter Baker shows us the 1998 model Daewoo Lanos, and giving us an overview of some of it's features, including the interior and it's 1.6 litre engine, which has a max speed of 112mph.
I had one for 13 years. Never let me down, ever. 350,000kms and only changed the clutch once. Only disposed of it when someone rear ended me and wrote it off. It did everything I needed it to do and more.
+terrasprite Same thing on my side, i had a Lanos for 13 years ( 1.6 engine) and never had problem, i only do the regular maintenance ( oil, brake....) it was my first car, perfect for student
@@teekey1754 trust me, there are many more of us. I had lanos for 4 years (nexia and espero before - both of them at the same time), sold it to friend, who drove it for another 2 years and then sold it to his friend who drives it until today. Right now I have leganza, my friend have leganza too. they are so good and hold well and super reliable.
In 1999, I sold these cars new in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at a stand-alone Daewoo dealership. We carried the Lanos, Nubira, and Leganza. The Lanos was my favorite. My demo was a Lanos hatchback, with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was a really decent little car that was fun to drive. I still see a few rolling around here in Arizona with space shuttle miles on them.
J'ai vendu beaucoup de DAEWOO LANOS. C'est une voiture très ... très fiable, robuste, et douce à conduire /. La motorisation 1500 / 86 ch est la mieux adaptée. Ce moteur est increvable !
The first and only BRAND NEW vehicle I've ever had in my life. Literally driven off the showroom floor!! I barely had it for 6 months, and some jackass in a brand new convertible Sebring SLAMS into me at a red light, and shoves me up under a brand new Dodge Intrepid that was in front of me! Didn't do much damage to the front of my Daewoo, but he hit me so hard, he bent the rear portion of the frame, so it was totaled out. Absolutely LOVED that car while I had it! Since they were new, the dealership gave me free oil changes every 3-4 months for as long as I was paying on the car!! I sure miss that car. Went back to buying used vehicles again. Will never buy another brand new vehicle unless I become rich somehow, and can pay cash.
I had a Lanos. Biggest piece of shite I've ever driven. Only a 1.4 but I was paying more in road tax than a range rover and it would barely do 50 going DOWN hill. Best day of my life selling that thing
