Do you have to level out the bike before you check the oil level or is designed to be checked off it's only stand the kick stand?

What's your take on using 10W30 synthetic motorcycle oil? Also, is 10W40 grade motorcycle oil perfectly fine too?

Drain plug torque is 22, but the oil filter torque is only 7. Please people don't try to torque your oil filter to 22 pounds.

What is the stud called that you screw the oil filter on and off of? I think mine is stripped and needs to be replaced.
