This Wednesday will be the 20th Anniversary of this game, one that completed Hawaii's only winless season in their entire football history, a season that threatened the wipe the program from existence...until the following year.

I was a solider at Schofield Barracks at the time and went to this game with some Army buddies.....Very close to the end of the game me and a few of my buddies ran across the field with a BIG BLOCK M flag and were met with a security guard. He let us go and we ran to our car and went home. I was just curious if that made it into this video. Still have the flag hanging on the wall albeit beat up and weathered it reminds me of a time.

I don't reckon anyone in the stadium had even a fiver on Brady becoming a multiple Super Bowl Champion and future Pro Bowl Hall of Famer, but after this performance, they will look back and realize they saw the beginning of a magical career playing the game.

i wish we would bring the band to every road game. there's just something awesome about hearing the victors in enemy territoy, but we'll never get that with Brandon even though we have one of the richest athletic departments in the country.

In a perfect world, yes. But no team in the country sends their band to every road game anyway. They work their asses off all during football season for 7 home games and 1-2 road games. They deserve to have a few Saturdays to rest and away games are their opportunity. As per tradition, they'll be playing at South Bend, East Lansing and Columbus this season. Once ND goes off the schedule next year, they'll most likely start traveling to Penn State when the game is at Happy Valley.

Coincidentally, I was at this game (while I was stationed at Pearl Harbor in the Navy) and there WAS a small Michigan alumni band there that played "Victors" after every Wolverine TD. It was pretty cool...

Wasn't this the last game Hawaii played before changing their uniforms and changing their name from Rainbow Warrriors to Warriors?

Nope, they changed uniforms in 2000. Changed the name in 2001. June Jones' first year they wore these same uniforms as this game.

I hear the stadium is not the best, my brother served in the Navy at Pearl Harbor and he said the stadium was not the best, but that was from 1992 to 1996!, In 2016 they come to Michigan!

This Hawaii team has to be the worst team in FBS history. Lost all 12 games by 2 scores or more. No team has ever done that. And most of all, they had 8 home games! And still went 0-12

this is the year hawaii went 0-13 only to turn it around the next year at 9-4. from no wins to bowl game win the next year. why doesnt michigan play hawaii? need to schedule something. michigan state did come here in 2004 and lost to hawaii. hahahha
