These could really use a 6-th gear. Even the 1.6 16v version has this same short final gear. For some reason the old Opel Astra F 1.6 had really long gear's, but this Astra G and the Vectra B have short gears. Even the 2.0 liter is just slightly longer. I guess in the early 2000s they must have decided to make small car gears shorter, to force people into buying their bigger models - that's the only way i can explain it.
