I've got a 99 ce! really nice to see these older cars. Just a thought, adding sound system tests in the future would be a welcome bonus. great job on the vids!
@@DMCarReviews that's true, a workaround may be playing copyright free music thru aux or an fm transmitter (realistic for somebody who buys a car w/out aux/bt)
I feel like the power in the 4cyl is generally underrated for the time and displacement. The engine isnt a powerhouse or anything but as a complete package and how it drives its not bad at all. Torque is good, hp is where it falls short, freeway overtakes in them can take a bit and you usually need to gear drop. Very solid car, and a very nice cruising type of car. All around its not bad at all.
Glad you mentioned the speeding tickets. Lol Everyone wants a fast car. I love my girl. A 98 C. I've had her 22 years. I can feel like a race car driver going 40mph. I just rented a Rav4. Spent the whole time trying not to speed.
Personally, as far as styling goes this is my least favorite generation of the Camry. I like the looks of the 1991-1996 the most. I personally own a 2024 Camry XSE V6 and it looks pretty nice in my opinion. If I had purchased a car based on appearance alone I would have gotten a Hyundai or Kia but for obvious reasons I went with Toyota instead.
+1 on your comment about older Camrys riding nicer. New Camrys and newer cars in general all have stiffer suspension and generally feel a bit 'tinny' or plastic-y in their ride and construction. Even their doors can be a bit floppy whereas these are nice and solid feeling.
The power seat and gold badges were options that you could get on the LE. I'm pretty sure the power seat is LE and higher, while the gold badges you could get on all trims.
I have this same car but I have all the options in my sun roof leather inline 4 cylinder in these are like 5.9 cummins they will run for ever you take care of it ik a few people with over 500k their a guy on RU-vid with over 750k same motor and transmission if your looking for gas saver commuter like I need for work this is it so reliable I get about 34mpg
I have a 98 Camry Le with 277k miles should I keep the RPMS below 3 like my told me or did he just tell me that 2 years ago to stop me from blowing it up since I was a teenager
