Is it a good idea to always put a new bolt on the oil pan when you change the oil? I have a 1998 Sienna and this will be the first time I am attempting to change the oil myself. And, you only hand tighten the filter? Do you think I will need one of those tools to get the oil filter loose? Thank you for this video!
cuddlesanddaisy no, you only change the gasket not the bolt, change the bolt if the one you have is getting rounded and is getting difficult to loosen or tighten it, yes you hand tight a filter, i had to use the adapter because, the last person who did my oil change tighten the filter too much, if it gets difficult to remove the filter, they sell the adapter in the auto parts store, just ask for it, they are not too expensive,
