Oh god, I had to do this once on my car after an event out of state. A kind friend I met at the event lent me his tools and space to do it! Glad there's this video I can refer to on it now!
Great video. Next time I would put some anti-galling(anti-seize) compound on the rotor retaining screw instead of Loc-tite. The retaining screw is only there to keep the rotor in place until you put the wheel on. Once the wheel is installed the clamping force of the wheel against the hub holds the rotors on. By putting anti-galling compound on the screws instead of Loc-tite, it will allow you to remove the screws next time without an impact driver. I do this on all my Civics (EK, EJ, FA5). It makes pad and rotor changes a breeze. Hope this helps you next time.
I appreciate you sharing what works for you. I have had that screw fall out in the past and when it does my rotors turn into “floating” rotors which means they wander around and make noise when they don’t need to be. I’ve never had a problem getting them out with my impact screwdriver and a baby 4lb sledge. I do appreciate the differing opinions because you never know when this info will help someone else along the way. Thank you for taking the time!
There’s a link in the description if you’re interred in Amazon parts, otherwise I would also recommend wheel bearings from the manufacturer because you don’t want to go cheap on bearings. Amazon: amzn.to/3JrjjzP
