My daily is my First car, bought it from my dad back in ‘04. A 2000 Camaro V6. I want My weekender to be a 97 SS next. 😎 2 F-body’s why not? 🔥 my favorite design next to the 6th gens.

Why The LT1?
@torres3800
@torres3800 2 года назад
@@michaelpedraza I can’t really explain it, but I find LT1s interesting. Its not always about going faster for me but the experience as well. Cars like the 90s Camaros for example take me back, like time machines. It’s also a unique engine with loads of torque.

Thanks for the inspiration. I'd been watching your video when deciding whether my first own car will be a Camaro or a Saab 9-3 (at 37, I never needed one and wanted car just for fun and learning new stuff:-) Now I own 2000 3.8 convertible Camaro European version with Firebird seats for a year and I can only agree "Great way to get into Classic American open-top motoring at relatively modest cost." It gives you that classic feeling with the big wheel and slow gearchanges and atmospheric engine and not that great built quality, while giving you all the comfort and great mpg of a more modern car. With 3.8 it is not a real sports car. More like an elegant cruiser. I always catch myself driving way below the speed limit, just because it is such a nice place to be and there is no need to hurry. Last thing, it is easy to get parts and relatively easy to work on it, as, of course, 20 years old cars need maintenance and things do break once in a while. You won't get much attention but still you will have to present the car to people, because these are rare and not many people know them. Now I already think about getting something older with a V8, but only after at least three more years with Camaro.

I am also 37 and living in Eastern Europe. There is 1999 4th gen Camaro V6 (with t-tops) being sold here for 6000 euros. But it is not a V8, that is biggest problem. Btw. did you know that the 1998-2002 Camaros were officially sold in Germany. Unfortunately, it costs a lot to import them because of sky-high CO2 taxes.

Nice. I’m going to look at a ‘01 V6 convertible with 64k miles for $3,500 this weekend. If it’s good, will purchase.

@@matthewkrbalek3074 I ended up purchasing a ‘95 V6 with t-tops for $3750. Sounds like a lot of money, but it had a lot of new parts (flowmaster exhaust, upgraded speakers, cold air intake, new water pump, new spark plugs, etc)

My first car is a 94’ Z28, lmao it’s beautiful but it’s a piece of shit. I love it anyways though, I live in Alabama where it stays 90° during the day 9 months out of the year. My car has no AC, the electric window switch doesn’t work most of the time, so if it goes down it probably won’t go back up. Not to mention the gas gauge lies and it might be running hot, or the temp gauge may be lying. The suspension and steering is shot, it squeeks when I go over a bump, pulls to the left, and the steering wheel is kicked to the right going straight. The speedometer reads wrong, it has a driveshaft catcher (literally pointless the engine makes 300hp) that always hits when I go over a bump. The paint looks mostly good but is starting to get this orange peel look in the back left quarter panel, the bumpers are cracked and have a lot of paint chipped off, the driver seat has a big hole in it, every aspect of the car is shit in some way. Not to mention it leaks oil and trans fluid.

But hey, we all start somewhere amiright? One day I’ll be successful and I can afford a V6 as nice as the one in the video. It may even have air conditioning if I’m really lucky.
