1999 Ford Ranger Steering Wheel Cruise Control Switch 

DONE! The buttons have been cracked, broken, and icky for years and I was able to defeat my fear of breaking things after watching this. I'm at 300k now.

Very helpful! I found that if you break away some of the plastic on the old switch you can easily access the connector and pry it loss with a small screw driver without risking damaging the connector or wiring.

Got the new switches on ebay for $25. Took 5 minutes to swap out. Thanks for the video.

Would suggest to never be seated in front of airbag when you first reconnect battery and restart. Nice video & easy to follow.

Battery disconnect should be Negative Terminal instead of Pos....

Why remove the positive battery terminal? Most people recommend removing the negative terminal. Does it really even matter which one is removed?

I was taught, if it Don't fit force it, and if it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Some videos say disconnect the positive and some say disconnect the negative. Can I just disconnect the whole battery to be safe?

Do you still happen to have the harness you didn't use?

I ordered the new switches from my Ford dealer but the replacement switches come with the wiring harness pre-installed. You cannot just unplug the old ones and plug in the new ones. You must replace the entire harness. I don't know if I'm expert enough to get into that.

Will this work on the 2002 for edge same thing

does that harness unplug from the switches on all years? my 03 looks like the whole harness needs to come out
