1999 Honda Prelude 5-spd Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour 

Don't know how many times I've watched this video...This car has been my dream car for quite some time now, too! But FINALLY, I will go buy one tomorrow! The power of dreams, here I come! LOL!

I've been wanting this car since i was a Junior in high school, two years later, I finally got one! Great car! FAST!

Best looking car Honda ever made next to the S2000 and the NSX I'd say, this generation with the pair a specs headlights isn't my cup a tea as much as the earlier ones but that's the only slight blemish on what is undoubtedly one of the sexiest looking coupes to come out of Japan. Shame though discontinued it, my aunt had one I think, it was either that or the Accord coupe we live in Britain though so the cars are a little different to the USA versions on some generations.

I’ve been in love with this car since high school. Now at 23 I’ve owned 3 in total and man, this car is freakin sweet! I currently own a mint 97 and still get necks turning and cars trying to race lol.

I own this specific car. I've put 17,000 miles on it over the past 5 years. I'm selling it because its just a toy and I dont have time to enjoy it. Its one of the cleanest you will ever find and its never driven in the rain. Reply if you're interested

I completely agree. I personally think this is one of, if not, the best looking Honda out there. Literally fell in love with this car after seeing one (for the first time) after moving to ATL.

Traded in a 98 Integra GSR for 99 prelude and I loved driving the prelude because of the torque and the fact that it was faster than the GSR.

I had this one in a 98 sportshift Automatic. I miss that car, the engine was awesome! The Automatic was horrible, replaced with refurbished transmissions under 1. Regular warranty, then 2. Extended warranty, then 3. Repaired by some shop in NJ that made it worse. 21 mpg wasn't great anyway. (The car begs to be revved up above 5,000 rpm to initiate VTEC cam setting) Maybe 24 mpg on the highway :( Still $5K after 7 years & 155,000 miles wasn't bad trade value.

I've seen an influx of 5th gen Preludes where I live, but no one's selling. I'd do some strange and regrettable things for one lol.

It's probably less since you loose HP over time. I can tell you one thing. I'm not claiming it's fast or the fastest thing in the world. I feel more power in my 98 Prelude than I do in an 01 Mustang, but then again my Prelude is a 5 speed while the Mustang is an automatic. It's a great car for a 4 banger. If you ever decide to get a 4 bang. Get this car. Totally worth it.

The body kind of resembles the Skyline R32. One day I might have to consider getting one of these. Love those Preludes.

Honestly, Honda Prelude is one of the most underrated cars out there. Always been my favorite foriegn ride.

There is one of these right down the road from me. It's right hand drive, lowered a bit, has a custom steering wheel, and is a sexy white. I want it so bad. They're really nice stock.

Congrats on very nice and steady camera work! Wish more used cars (especially in Europe) were presented like this. One recommendation: a short drive would be nice to hear the suspension, gearbox and clutch, although in this case I don't doubt they are fine (I own a Lude, these cars are incredibly well built).

I read Honda killed the Prelude because their Accord coupe sold more and caused the Prelude's sales to slump so they pulled the plug. Another crackhead decision by Honda.

These cars are really beautiful to me. In my honest opinion I hate the fact that most people look at hondas as crap ricer cars. Yeah there are people who give them bad names but if you put a honda into the hands of a person who knows them really well, they are beasts. Im a heavy mustang guy, my favorite one being the 03-04 terminators. I feel that true car guys are fans of all types of cars. I got love for 4,6,8 cylinder cars. Fuck that guy in a mustang saying hondas are wack lol. One might actually smoke you.

honda is usually spot on when it comes to mpg for their cars. You should be getting about 22-24mpg

1994 Honda Prelude VTEC w/ 225k original miles n engine... leaking engine oil, clutch oil, brake oil, and power steering oil since 2003 and still runin like a charm. Note: check ur oil once a week and youll be fine. THANK YOU HONDA!

Another thing that might cause the water in the exhaust is the fact that H2O is a bye-product of combustion. This is what I've always thought contributed to the water in the exhaust, but your explanation explains the amount of water.

I've only seen like 4-5 5th gens and like 2 4th gens in my life. That's not counting my 5th gen like the one in this video. God it's an amazing car.

You gotta remember that Honda's are built like tanks. Just check the preludes out. My prelude has 236,780 miles and runs like new

Oh my god! I think this is going to be my first car. I wanted the 1995 Honda/Acura NSX to be my first, but they're $40,000+ used and I don't have that type of money now. I saw a few fifth generation preludes going for about $3,000 where I live.

I LOVE this car! Especially the SE trim. Too bad it got discontinued in 2001. I hope they just bring it back. Hondas today aren't as good as they were back in the 90's and early 2000's.

There's one for sale around where I am for $2800, black, all stock with the H22 and Vtec. The car is immaculate, nothing wrong with it whatsoever, but 180k miles. May go and see if I can get it for cheaper.

All the haters should shut up. I got a 99 with the full lip kit. Lowered visors and basically a really clean prelude. My friend has 70 chevelle and he shows me respect so all you people calling this a rice burner don't know shit about Hondas

Good everyday commuting car I suppose, for those on a limited budget. It has advance drive-train for its year, which makes it thrifty, but sporty. It's in good shape also.

God, I love my 1998 Honda Prelude. Such an amazing car. It just needs a little TLC. But, I will get her painted up and RHD conversion.

This prelude and the Acura RSX type S are my favorite ricers.

Thanks for the video. This particular car is in great shape. I'm not a fan of the headlight design, but the rest of the car looks sporty. Although, I liked the overall design of the Acura Integra better personally.
