Thanks for the video! Excited to see some new videos on this car, I have a Cutlass of the same year same car they even share their OEM manual. I was watching this to see how easy it’ll be to get to the thermostat so I can decide if I wanna fill and bleed with the thermostat in or not bc I’m reassembling after a head gasket replacement. I disassembled almost a year ago so I wanted to make sure.
I took the first bolt on the out side off and the bolt inside behind the metal bracket just spins the thread piece everytime I turn the bolt what am I doing wrong ?
It sounds like you are almost there try spraying a little WD-40 on that bolt keep on spending it in trying to pull it towards you when you're spending it as well.
does anybody know the part number for the seal where the heater pipe connects to the back side of thermostat housing? I got a leak and I am thankful as hell thought it was lim gasket that I had done but I guess guy used permatex instead of a new seal for that pipe. It was a slow leak there fore a long time now coolant just pours out. can it actually be just an o ring?
