New illustrated Dvar Torah teaching on the 19th Torah Parashah Terumah (תְּרוּמָה‎)- Hebrew for “gifted contribution” and is the 19th weekly Torah portion covering Exodus 25:1-27:19. Parashah Terumah contains 3 new mitvot (commandments) all in Ch 25 - 2 positive and 1 prohibition.
In this parashah, the Lord commands Moshe to take up free will offering from the people of Israel in order to build a sanctuary in the wilderness. This sanctuary, called the Mishkan, was meant to be a visible reminder for the people of God’s holy Presence that dwelt among them.
Each year we study and understand on a deeper level and we hope this deeper teaching on God's Holy name and Moshe's Sapphire staff blesses you with deeper insights and spiritual growth for today!

I heard a teaching about this earlier today. The "gods" of the ancient near east were bound by the temples created for them. They did not inhabit any other place. Our Creator God, is Omnipresent, represented by the Mishkan in the wilderness and the pillar of cloud and flame that accompanied them. The natives of the countries all around were amazed that the Elohim of Israel traveled with them. He is still with us through the Ruach haKodesh.

Thank you. Then the tabernacle of our God is spread throughout the world. And the orthodox faith is indeed the table of show bread. Given to feed the Gentiles. The Glory of God surely rests on those that seek him. Thank you.

Hello my dearest brother! Thank you for your teachings and drawing the parallels so we understand this beautiful message. I can only imagine being in God’s presence. My heart leaps with joy and awe knowing that one day it will happen!!!!! I have bought my Talmud book so I can follow alongside the Rabbi and understand the deeper meaning of this teaching and grow in my relationship with Adonai. I had so many questions that I think the Talmud would help me clarify. On another note, No wonder, I am obsessed with smell!! I like keeping my house pristine and fragrant like a garden of roses. Now I know where does this come from. Thank you brother🤗

Actually, it is named for the first word of consequence in the parshat (point of clarification) ... Yah's focus is on His children in everything; so, I'm not implying you're wrong.

God Bless you Rabi Isaac I just found out how could my body be as a Temple, your description (mind, smell, stomach , skin, hear & Skeleton) Q. Table of shew bread I though it also represents to remind Jews the crossing Jordan River. Am I correct if I said (( Menorah’s shuffle represents Yeshoua:: Oil is Holy Spirit, 7 cups are 7 churches. Light represents the Christ.

The bread and offerings were never meant to "feed" Elohim. That was the common belief in the worship of other 'gods". Instead the offerings were meant to be a sign of welcoming hospitality and fellowship with His children. Come and dine.

Dear Rabbi Isaac or any kind and loving person out there.PLEASE can you help me? A short answer Yes or No would help me so much.I hope Yah will move someone's heart because I'm grieved about this.There's no Messianic Ministry I can ask here in Germany.Can you please tell me if Teddy Bears and stuffed animals are a form of idolatry and go against the 2nd Commandment? I read an article called "What your pastor never told you about the second Commandment" on the website called "the way prepared".I suggest that anyone read that article before commenting. Verse 4 in Exodus 20 seems to be a commandment all in itself and not necessarily linked to the "worship part" mentioned in verse 5. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee ANY graven image, or any LIKENESS of ANY thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I Yahuah thy Elohiym am a jealous El, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; I'm wondering if I should just throw it out or give it to a girl I know or wether this would be "benefiting from idolatrous items?"Thank you to anyone who answers me.
@AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
Appreciate your sincere heart for truth and willingness to let go of anything that is not in harmony with the Creators will and principles, but stuffed animals, dolls and toys which are not full-featured detailed replicas of people or animals are not considered idolatry in most Jewish thinking and are allowed to be played with in most families. There is a notable custom in some Chassidic circles though not to allow children to play with “non-kosher” stuffed or toy animals and to even limit their exposure to images of such things because it is known that a child is highly influenced by the images he sees. It is believed that being overly exposed to things which the Torah calls "impure" can have a negative impact on a child's spiritual development. We are told that we should be extra careful to ensure that a child's formative years are immersed in holiness to the greatest extent possible, especially what he eats, what he sees, and what he hears. It is even written that nighttime lullabies should have Torah based themes. As the Lubavitcher Rebbe writes: "Because what one sees leaves lasting impressions, especially on young children, the toys that a child plays with, and the pictures that he looks at, should not be of impure animals…pictures of impure animals harm the mind and soul... only kosher animals, birds, and fish [toys] should be chosen. A Jew, and especially a Jewish child, should be accustomed to pure things only ... we should strive that a Jew, and especially a Jewish child, should only come across and look at pure things." The Rebbe goes on to explain that children are especially susceptible to external influences. He says that what children are exposed to when they are younger will affect them when they are older. As King Solomon says similarly, "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Nevertheless, the halacha is not in accordance with this view, and there is no true prohibition against playing with non-kosher animals and the like. Indeed, the flags of many of the Tribes of Israel included pictures of non-kosher animals, such as a donkey representing the tribe of Yissachar, a snake representing the tribe of Dan, and a lion representing the tribe of Yehuda. So too, it is common to name children after non-kosher animals, such as with the name Aryeh (lion), Devorah (bee), and Dov (bear), among many others. Doing so is largely a result of the many positive traits and attributes that such animals symbolize. There are also many synagogues in which one will find pictures of lions on or around the Aron Kodesh. It is also noted that there were non-kosher images in Yechezkel's vision of the chariot. As such, it is felt that those who choose to allow their children to play with non-kosher animals are entitled to do so. Hope this helps! Many blessings in your continued studies and spiritual growth!
