Did you use the original ECU with the engine. Im interested in what engine scanner your using to plug into the ECU. Some cars that were imported into Australia were OBD-M, where the exact same cars imported into the EU were OBD2....
Left hand drive 80 series with the 1HD-FTE AND the 5-speed?? I love it! I couldn't tell from the engine bay shots, does this one have the intercooler? I'll take one with the factory triple lockers please, dream truck!

Guage is around the middle. Probably floored it from cold. Oil hasn't reached all the reservoirs and corners of the engine. Not the smartest thing to do. Mine sits on 1/3 for about the first 10-15 minutes before warming up
Yeah bro.. I am suffering the same issue..from 3 years.. I rebuild my 80 series turbo multi valve pump repair also changed the nosils..but engine still smoke in exsuzit
Depends on the colour. Blue smoke means oil is being burnt. Likely it's escaping past the piston rings and other areas and being burnt in the cylinder. White smoke means fluids. Head gasket or many other causes
@@lucd9080 that's asking a lot out of 4.2 TD. They last for ever been left alone we have lots of cowboys are over fuelling them to the shithouse and tune the fuck out of them they really don't last that long pushed to hard mate be careful. MTQ..
@@livenloud6697 nothing to do with the power mate its the tuning, 1hdfte love it. no pump mods need like the 1hdt to get the power and generally pretty forgiving with high EGTS. people have been running those setups for a while. a bloke in perth who used his ute to trail some of the aftermarket turbos and intercoolers. i saw him at the 4wd show he was running 400 hp and over 1200 nm for a few years. been on the dyno silly amounts of time and thrashed hard
