Did you have any clearance issues with the turbo housing hitting the frame in the bay? I just dropped my 1j vvti in my 88 and i did so with the exhaust and intake removed for ease of manipulation (i did it alone), and now im havin issues getting the manifold/turbo on.
I did not have any issues with fitment. I had to take off and put back on the exhaust manifold and turbo a few times too. part of the turbo and hard line is close to the side but not touching.
