I thought the lobe had to face at a 30 degree angle how the buckets sit? You checked it with the lobe sideways? Also are the clearances specs the same between the 2jz and 1jz vvti?
As long as the lobe is away from the bucket then the clearance can be checked. I dont belive the 2i and 1j specs are the same so I would recommend double checking.
