Thank you so much for being secular and progressive! I was feeling so discouraged when every time I saw something they threw G-d on it and I fled. It's not that I'm opposed to G-d, but I like to keep the wall between church and school as high as possible.
I totally understand!!🖤 it is a more difficult route to take when it comes to finding curriculum. However I will say that over the past 4-5 years we’ve been at it, it’s slowly getting better! Each year there seems to be more options but teacherspayteachers will probably always be my number one resource😅
I'm feeling very overwhelmed thinking about homeschooling our kids in a progressive and truthful way. I feel like it is a space largely opposed to those things, so I am so grateful for you time and insight.
We started homeschooling our youngest who is first grade age and LOVES Dimensions math! I ordered it because of your recommendation & couldn't be happier! So far homeschooling is going great! ❤️ love all your curriculum choices!
@@MommaAlia thank you for taking so much time & effort filming this video! It has helped so much with deciding curriculum choices for next year as well! So thankful for your channel! I've been following you for a pretty long while! You're definitely one of favorites! ❤️❤️
The Reading Lesson! This is what I've used and it's so great. It honestly seems like the homeschooling community is brainwashed into thinking if you don't use AAR then your kid won't learn to read (and it's so expensive).
YES, EXACTLY! The Reading Lesson is so much cheaper and so nice! I love it because you spend 25 dollars, get as many readers as you can and just move at your own pace (my daughter is currently doing a lesson every other day). Every time I see a video of AAR it stresses me out. It's too rigid, it has too many moving parts, and I feel that my daughter would hate all that reviewing and not being able to move at her own pace.
This has been so so helpful! I am getting ready to start my first year of homeschool with my kindergartener and you have given me so much inspo and great advice!
I followed you a year or so ago because of your Christmas gift idea videos, it makes me so happy to know that you do secular and progressive homeschooling because where I live, it’s so hard to find! Thank you for the videos and ideas!
Thank you for sharing this. I found you in 2016 and you helped me survive breastfeeding. And now that I'm considering homeschooling my son, you're delivering once again! It's so hard to find secular, progressive homeschooling content. Would you consider doing consults/coaching for like-minded moms who are terrified they are going to ruin their kids? 😃
I absolutely love that you’ve been here supporting me so long! And so happy I could help in any way with your breastfeeding journey🤍 I know it’s an overwhelming and complex decision but I have no doubt you’ll settle on something that fits the best for your family! Hahah I’m all transparency, I’m scared of doing it too but that it something I’ll seriously consider and look into! I’ll research it this weekend and get back to you🥰
🦆 🐤 I appreciate this video. I’m just beginning my journey with kindergarten. I do feel overwhelmed. I love your set up. Seeing the actual binders & printed pages was immensely helpful! I’ll stay in your channel for more content like this. 🫶🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💙👍🏼
🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤 Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into sharing this video, it is appreciated. I love getting to see the way you have it all set up and organized. Getting new ideas and resources is so fun and exciting when you are a homeschool mom !!!
I don’t homeschool but I think I’m going to get the reading lesson book. My kindergartner isn’t reading yet and it seems like they’re still just learning the alphabet in her class. She’s already past that point and I want her to be an avid reader.
