My old army units base, Gormanstown Camp. I retired in 2000,having joined in 1979,after almost 22 service. Camp looks very different now ,in that video. Fond memories.

Spent many a good day in Gormanston camp, back in my FCA days. Best of luck to them all.

I was in the US army. Wish I could go back and also serve in the Irish defence forces of Ireland, get back to my family roots. But now I'm 39 and too old for Ireland's military.

Jeez it wasn't like that back in the day in Monaghan barracks in 1983, However, I would not have changed a single day of my career. As an old soldier, I can only wish these new soldiers the very best, if they gain half the rewards I did, then it will have been a great move for them.
