After their bronze medal on home soil at London 2012, the Women's Great Britain hockey team won their first ever gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. They defeated the defending champions the Netherlands 2-0 on a dramatic penalty shoot-out after a 3-3 draw. Enjoy watching Great Britain's road to gold!

Canada actually has a summer Olympic gold in ice hockey from Antwerp 1920.

@@shivamdwivedi2245 You are a very strange guy to be raising this subject India once dominated hockey but that was a long time ago . These days India is not among the top teams Otherwise India has hardly been sighted at the Olympics Maybe it's best to just avoid the subject of India's Olympic performance -it really is rather embarrassing for a country of 1.4 billion people

@@stellen11 Its true i played for the original hockey club in Teddington, it was invented at Teddington cricket ground after they used their bats to play a new sport on a rainy day. we have 1871 on our badge.
