Glad it was helpful! It is more comfortable than the Helinox Zero, but is a little heavier. Does it still meet your UL requirements? How about now triple purposing trekking poles if you have a trekking pole tent?
Innovative and neat. There's probably a market for them. For me? Nah. My poles are used for my hammock rain fly or tent rain fly. The chair looks comfy though and a better back than the helinox zero style.
When was that chair on Indiegogo? I remember backing a trekking pole chair/seat on Kickstarter in early 2020. The "TALO Freedom Seat" was open for backing on Kickstarter in late 2019 and early 2020. The idea was like a hammock, but you use your trekking poles and turn it into a seat.
Here’s the campaign: www.indiegogo.com/projects/trekchair-ditch-the-weight-not-comfort?gclid=Cj0KCQjwteOaBhDuARIsADBqReh2n0t4zjVw22RzNa-PwTE0v0CA0-Bjnxh1U-VzDf_bc81B0eZv5qUaAso9EALw_wcB#/
I already have trekking poles that I like. What is the weight without the companies’ trekking poles? I wish the chair was available without trekking poles. Yes it is nice that their poles are thicker but my aluminum poles should work already.
UPDATE: POSSIBLE FAILURE? Multiple channels are reporting that this chair breaks after rocking on it. Check out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B26XTvtOc2U.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-emzVgCJbj9E.html. Are you going to run out and get this chair? Does it need to be even lighter? Should you be able to buy just the chair w/o poles?
Agreed, I am not a fan of their solution to set up, put your stuff in, and then take the poles. I don’t want to be setting up my tent at night after a camp fire. See you outside!
Loving your videos, but please consider presenting things using meters and grams (international units) as well, if you don't want to alienate most of the world and keep a huge chunk of audience away.
