Definitely want to do this swap on my '93. Got a beefed up 'rag in my '90 already. Just love these first gens. They come with one of the most durable, powerful, yet simple engines ever. Once you get the rest of the vehicle up to par, you're set for life.

Hope you can help. I have a 2WD 1992 dodge 12 valve I’m in the process of completing the swap. But having an issue trying to route the dipstick tube. And help would be appreciated. Thx

When you did the speedometer harness to the compushift how did u wire it? My compushift has a cavle drive but trans has an electricam 3 prong connector. I just need ot to work for the compushift, not for the truck dash

Nice video. I have a 1992 first gen and I'm swapping engine and 47rh trans but i need to huck up overdrive electric plug so it can shift to 4th gear, will this control work for it?

Would this controller work for me? I have a 93 first gen with an ATS DIESEL 47re type trans. It shifts fast. It's already in 3rd by 25mph. Then OD and tcc is switches. Will this controller work?

Who rebuilt your transmission ? Did they rebulid your trans ? or did they ship one from the shelf ? What upgraded parts did they use inside the trans ?

And is the 47rh out a 2ng gen 12 valve or 24 valve?

It is out of a 12 valve and 1994 was the only year that 47 RH transmission was offered in the Dodge truck with Cummins engine, after that the transmission was electronic controlled, is my understanding.

Wish I could have done this with mine. That A518 was a pig and created more heat than anything else. The truly sad part is I also had a Diesel chevy (6.2L) that was ten years older and it had a lockup converter. Why did it take Dodge so long.

Idk. The 47 and 48 are the perfect platform to build a good solid trend out of though. I prefer them over any other trans out there in a stock truck
