I wanted to pull some smaller logs out just to give an overview of the winch. I never really found a good video on the Tube that demonstrated this. I will get a better video when it isn't 90 degrees out
I was thinking I needed one of these today after hiking up and down a mountain 5x today setting snatch blocks and skidding with my tractor. Good video.
I have a 30M. Thinking of upgrading now that I have a bigger tractor. Don’t forget to unspool it all of the way and tension it if you haven’t already. Winches are amazing
@@creepinoutdoorswv yeah they have a great dealer network and are an awesome company. I interviewed Mike Spadaro the GM for my channel back in August at Woodsman Days.
Yea, I set up an easy pull just to show how it is used. Pretty simple piece of equipment but if ya don't know, ya don't know. I will get some bigger and tougher pulls on camera eventually.
Couple things you don't need your tractor hire than just idle to winch it uses way more fuel and is just unnecessary also when you winch in your logs you don't have to unhitch them and chain to the bottom just lock your mainline and pull off it I've ran winches for 30 years just a few tips to help you out and be more efficient
I want to see it pull an actual log from over the hillside. I mean a log not limb size wood that I could pull out with a small tractor and a chain. Show me some real work like pulling a walnut or oak 24 inch by 16 foot log up a hill. Then I would be impressed,
