On Friday November 25th, Paul, Ed, Matthieu and I hit the road by 5:00am, left Ontario, Canada and headed to Nashville, Tennessee for the annual guys football weekend.
It’s a long 12 hour drive but we are very excited to be in Nashville once again to watch some football, listen to fantastic music, eat great food, have a few drinks and just have an awesome time with good friends.
Our first objective was to hit up one of our favourite breakfast joints… The Waffle House. Then push on through to the hotel in Nashville.
We arrived late afternoon but were hungry for some Tennessee barbecue. We walked down to Broadway and hit up Jack’s Barbecue and pigged out on some Brisket, Smoked sausage, ribs and cornbread.
After dinner we took in some amazing live music on Broadway at a couple bars called Legends Corner and Acme Feed & Seed.
The next day we headed back to Broadway to see how different Nashville is in the daytime. Did some shopping, saw women dancing in a glass covered bus, People drinking on a bicycle Bar and even saw Santa Clause.
And now the moment we’ve all been waiting for… Dinner at Hattie B’s Nashville Hot Chicken restaurant.
Hattie B’s was awesome and I can’t wait to return and dare myself to try the SHUT THE CLUCK UP! Level of heat and see if I can do it.
The rest of the night we hung out at Tootsies Orchid Lounge to watch an awesome band perform foot stomping tunes and ate at Bakersfield and had one of the best Shrimp and Fish Tacos feast.
The last day we watched the football game where the Bengals defeated the Titans and for dinner that night we ate at Martins BBQ and ate 3 trays of fantastic food.
We headed home early Monday morning and stopped at Cracker Barrel to have our last meal of the trip.
