The woman who gave birth to her had many pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she abused the child and tried to drown it. One day this 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage. There she finally found love ... by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist who treated the children from the children's home. Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old. Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared, but she could all sing songs from cartoons. A doctor recommended singing lessons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started … Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D6). Diana's voice also sometimes has a polyphonic undertone. Diana Ankudinova is 18yrs old and resident of Moscow, Russia. This is the first of 9 episodes, 9 performances , 9 different genres, 9 artists that are the judges also on the the variety show called, The Show MASK Go On. This is a cover of Tommy Profitt dark version in F Minor Harmonic. Diana is a fabulous artist, singer/actor and live performer. Wish I could have experienced this performance in person also. At the age of about 13 she auditioned on a show for children and sang/yodeled. It is called 'Jodel Time'...really extraordinary...the audience absolutely loved her but the judges didn't turn their chairs around, even though they were obviously fascinated by her voice. They asked her to sing something else and she sang a French song acapella...but she was not chosen. What did she do? As the audience cheered her, she went up and gave the judges a hug! Completely captivating performer, even at the age of 13! And also you could do 'Wicked Game' and 'Rechenka' both at the age of about 15 in singing contests... utterly spectacular voice! Also she sings a beautiful and uplifting 'Into the Sky!' Enjoyed your comments on her....the background is as extraordinary as the performer. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on RU-vid. Two months ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of RU-vid 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers. Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. К слову сказать, мужчина, который соскочил с места и простоял все время песни всемирно известный оперный певец Юсиф Айвазов, который был поражен не менее вашего. Поверьте, есть чему удивляться, у этой девочки в 18 лет глубокое контральто, причем яркое сочетание колоратурного и драматического, у нее уникальный диапазон в нижнем регистре, и довольно высокий для контральто в верхнем диапазоне, а это в принципе уникальное сочетание, кроме того Господь одарил ее голос богатыми полифоническими обертонами, возможностью произносить несколько звуков в разных диапазонах одновременно, и и вентрологией, которую в простонародии называют чревовещаем. И всем этим набором Диана искусно управляет. К слову сказать, подобная особенность была и у легенды Имы Сумак. Одно время бытовало мнение, что это помощь звукорежиссеров, но когда слышали ее исполнения тех же композиций но акапелла, то скептис проходил, наступал шок. Оно и понятно, на сегодняшний день диапазон у Дианы обширный, от "Ре" малой октавы внизу до "Си" первой октавы на грудном регистре и "Ля" второй октавы в головном регистре вверху.
