I got a 22 black and grey one about a week ago, it was my first two wheel anything on the road. Had a guy on an enduro give me the “👌🏼” wave today so I’m officially a biker. “Anything that makes you smile when you get on it, that’s what it’s all about”
Ahhh yeah Jason you know it bro jaja!!! Stoked for ya!! Yep your part of the club now for sure.....Fast slow big bike small bike etx all riders with experience usually respect anyone else with enough balls to get on any two wheels and ride. My plans after doing some local 20-40 milers is Id like to try a solo camping trip soon. Bring a can of gas, essential camping items, hit all the backroads, get somewhere cool and camp sounds like a sweet adventure and a totally Ruckus thing to do lol!! Whatever path your riding stay safe out there and enjoy your new ride my man!!~
I'm about to get one, waiting on the paperwork before I pick it up. I've legitimately never driven anything beyond a bicycle. Do you think it's a good first timer scooter? I just want to make sure I don't get it and immediately do something like immediately wipe out hahaha.
@@RoastBeefQueefSniffer I still drive mine and love it, I take it slightly off-road and just fish tail around with my friends on ATVs. Haven’t wiped out yet. Just remember wet ground leafs/pine needles will make you slide and the ruckus is slow so keep that in mind.
@@MrKILLAKA thanks for the response. What do you wear for safety? That's what I'm trying to figure out. I know a helmet jacket and pants you can never go wrong but I don't even know what reliable brands there are. Also I keep reading conflicting things with braking on it. Do you use both handles at the same time. I hear it's focus more on the front and ease into the back. Basically let it slow down and brake gently, don't jam them because that can be bad haha.
I love the Ruckus but I’m afraid my big booty at 250 lb is too much for 50cc. I’m looking at getting a Yamaha Zuma 125. Thx for the vid. Looked like it was fun.
If you were trying to escape and get away unnoticed, the Ruck is the ticket. It is the ultimate survivalist transportation. Slow, quiet and sipping gas !
I’m protesting fascism via not paying insurance anymore, i understand driving is a privilege and not a right, doesn’t mean we can break constitutional laws because of it, because we all have the right to travel on public roads. The bed of Private Business and Government is fascist, dangerous, and unconstitutional, and is prompt for monopolies
Rene super stoked I could show you the Ruckus!! I was recently like you....After seeing it somewhere I did my homework and was like WHAAA 20 years they've had this thing out for sale lol!!??!! Yes I turns out in California you do need a motorcycle license to drive the Honda Ruckus. At first I was like ahhh this sucks after riding ebikes and PEV's for 4 years bill and fee free but big picture for myself it's a blessing. Now Im enrolled in a motorcycle safety class that passes me automatically and best of all I get to learn real motorcycle skills they've been using for decades. After being on the road as a driver since 16 but not till 40 riding bikes with traffic, I admit I have a lot to learn still. Learning from real riders and real situations just gives you real knowledge and skill that most likely you will need at some time. Insurance is about $20 a month, nothing really. 114 mpg pays for that in days. :) Having a true blast with this thing and can def recommend so far~
I believe you only need your regular license and do not need a motorcycle license as long as the motorcycle is under 50 CC's most Honda ruckus are under 50cc's so no you do not need a motorcycle license if under 50ccs. Anything above 50 cc then yes you would need a motorcycle license.
Awesome Ex Hostage hope you finally got one its a pretty sweet ride!! Been bullet proof for me and a ton of fun every time I'm out on it. Hope you get to hit the road soon!!~
Thats funny you say that Shawn that was the crossroad I reached which one to buy first....The 2 variables of me being taller and a rider that doesn't trust myself with power I went with the Ruckus lol!!! Weird to own electric scooters more powerful than this but totally different ride for sure. A little separate skill set is needed to lean and turn on this thing. And its just cool to have something different....and actually kinda nice to hear a little purr underneath ya as well!! You said it best. Fun as hell is exactly what it is. Either way you go hope you get yours soon and thanks for dropping in!!~
@@SWEETVENOM100 Sweet. Congrats and good luck. I’ve decided to wait till the 24’ Yamaha Zuma’s come out I’m guessing March-April of 24’. It’s getting ready to snow this coming week. Again, good luck with your Ruckus. I really dig that bike.
Funny thing is it is not faster!! Been 45mph on the 11+ and only downhill could the Ruckus do that. But....Ive got some long bumpy country roads to navigate so its nice to have a seat, no real range anxiety, and big one for me the moto quality suspension. This things floats and is fun as hell. Different ride but same kind of fun high for sure.
You had me cracking up with the motorcycles waving at you. I bought a new PCX a week ago and had a guy on a Harley wave and I waved back. When he got closer and realized I was on a scooter, his wave turned into a wave off of “Oh, never mind”. I laughed as hard as you were!
I know this road. This is in Paso Robles, Ca through the wineries. Cute little boring town since everything closes early. Not so much of night life there but other stuff during the day is cool.
No ignorance all good my friend kinda confusing I have a electric vehicle channel then throw this moped/scooter on here. This is an all gas 49cc Honda Ruckus scooter. While its not electric, it gets about 100 miles a gallon which in itself I think is amazing and a vehicle I wanted to share with my audience. Highly recommended.
Agreed the Ruckus has been so fun and dependable it is also one of the best things Ive ever bought as well.....Great minds think alike jaja!!! Ride on DA!~
Well thats definitely the plan William jaja!!! Definitely taking it slow as I need to learn my new ride with its added weight and different turning radius then Im used to. I'm taking the motorcycle class that helps you pass the test for the CA license and just going to get better as a rider in all respects. Thanks for sending the good vibes and reminder to keep it rubber side down!!
Only1 the truly crazy thing is that my VSETT 11+ has gotten up to 45mph with me and gets there quick!! This guys gets to 25ish decently then slowly gets ya to 40 maybe lol!!! What you said 2nd is what it's all about....fun to ride. Good intro to motorcycles is my thought. Resell demand and value is crazy, could sell it used right now and make money on it. That supply thang is real so I thought get it now. Just trying another feather in the hat my friend, you've seen the variety of vehicles I ride I think it makes me a better driver in all situations hopefully. If not it was still all fun : )
That was really rad for me and literally a top 10 moment of 2021 in real time jaja!!! SO funny how riding a different vehicle opens you up to salutations and greetings you would otherwise not be given. Bike culture and its people have always interested me....Pedaled and non pedaled haha!!! As for the Ruckus definitely loving it!!~
Jaja yes it did have to be 44 mins. I've got to ask you've heard of a mouse and fast forward by simply moving your hand to the right or are Llama hands too big for all that lol?!!? Being real I like my formats Ive established for my channel after a couple years. Preview, beauty shots, and the complete ride. You either get it or you ask did this really have to be a hour long video. I like that.
KD your going to need a motorcycle license if you live in California while other states have different laws so it just depends where you live. Been worth the effort for me so far as all I had to do was take a 20 question multiple choice test and pass to get a temporary motorcycle license that gives you a year to finally take the official test or just take a safety class that automatically passes you. Pretty easy and actually was headache free from the DMV, I was like "No way" lol!!
You do not need a motorcycle license as long as the Honda ruckus is under 50cc's. If it exceeds the 50cc's then yes you need a motorcycle license. For example there are bikes that are 125 CC's or 150'ccs. At that point you would need a motorcycle license but not if it's under 50cc's
@@jesv4026 No lies detected, i hear alot of people saying you need a license for the ruckus but when i hit up my dealer in New York they told me you dont need license for a 50cc because i was worried about the cops stopping me trying to take my bike or giving me a ticket. i was also informed to stay away from highways because then it sorta becomes a problem operating a 50cc vehicle but what you can do is get it insured it makes the cops smile just a little. lol it seems like alot of people are misinformed about no license to operate a 50cc bike including the cops they dont know the law themselves. .
Ricky my man so much fun!! No range anxiety, good intro to motorcycles, and can sell for what I paid for anytime. These have been around 20 years and haven't changed. Imagine if the Mantis was so good it never had to change parts or motor or anything really for 20 years.....Thats what makes this a beast, its style and simplicity. Hope all is awesome my man!!! I heard Steve Rodgers is making a visit to the BAESK8 Halloween Party this Sat.....Look out for that guy lol!!!
@@TheElectricLife Now that would be dope if that was the case for the Mantis lol! I’m doing well. I’ve been blessed 🙏🏻 and got a full-time job offer 3 weeks ago and will be starting tomorrow. With that said I won’t be riding much as I use to anymore lol!! And while it was fun riding with the group for 1 1/2 years, I will no longer be able to join in on the fun per Sat. Rides 😔 I’m a bit down not to join in fun anymore but I’m still thankful that I met you and the group to get me through this pandemic and keep me away from stress by exploring the beauty of the city! I hope you're doing well and staying safe out there as well. Hopefully, I can Join in the fun this upcoming Halloween ride with the group. Hope you can join in as well. 👊🏻
