@@itscoming9409they’re probably gonna be using the same controllers that they used with the C8 before they unlocked the ECU…more than likely they’re only going to be able to use manual boost controllers instead of electronic ones and or simply run it at waste gate pressure for safety with a module to control fuel pressure along with other important information…..kind of like Motive Reflex for BMWs and how it controls your Port injection with just T-Tapping existing wires in you’re ECU or ones leading to it for power and sensor information…..if they could incorporate Port Injection with a separate controller on S650s then technically it would be possible to run a boosted setup safely….but your dash will probably still look like a Christmas Tree lol
I like that 8000 RPM, back in the day all we needed for the Paxton superchargers was an adjustable timing dial and adjustable fuel pressure regulator and you use a pyrometer for 1,500 degrees at the end of the quarter mile to tune it richer or leaner.... good video as usual

Would the DK benefit more from the manual? I know it takes time to learn how a car needs to be driven, there has to be a learning curve, especially coming from a Voodoo and Predator drivetrains.

Next time you go to the track can you test out the track app and see how accurate they are? I just did 2 0-60 mph runs. First one was 3.61 and the second was 3.82. That can't be right?
@@inyoface1641 they do do that but its not because it "stays in the power band" its actually to protect the transmission. Every tuner removes that little hiccup for more performance. It shouldnt short shift there performance wise but for protection yes it should.
@@inyoface1641 they do it on 91 tunes. It’s not about just where it makes power it’s what rpm it is at after shifting. I don’t mean this as an insult but I promise tuners know more about this than you do. Also if short shifting was beneficial why doesn’t it do it in every gear only some.
@@inyoface1641 it’s literally a fact that it’s a bad thing. It is 100% for a more LONG lived transmission. EVERY tuner removes the short shift. Every single person to ever drive the car on a track complains about the short shift. It’s not some normal feature. It’s a bad thing and gets tuned out 100% of the time. Yea I’m sure no tuner has ever brought out more performance from a standard ford tune. What a nub bro. Not like it’s their entire job to ONLY focus on adding performance from a tune. Not like ford outsources their tunes for after market parts(whipple) anyways. You’re right bro

I have driven many modern twin turbo cars. The charge pipe from the turbo you want to be as short as possible because when the turbo produces boost it has to fill that cavity with pressure. The longer the charge pipe the longer it takes to create boost pressure. If you launch control it you precharge the cavity and it takes off with full boost. Regular driving if you hammer the gas it can be laggy. I'm not saying it's awful and with the correct turbos installed it might actually have a good seat of the pants feel when it boosts up.. My McLaren's all had turbo lag but it felt glorious when the boost comes on. @@ShizzySupra
@@sufficetosayok so thank you for confirming you havent driven a modern car with a twin turbo setup such as an s550 with a Hellion/Aldo Welds etc kit. If you are in a high gear and floor it from 1000rpm it might lag a little bit but any modern automatic especially a 10 speed wont have those issues. I understand the engineering principle you are trying to convey but the reality is compression, gearing, turbo size/design, exhaust etc all play a huge role in reducing “lag”

@@sufficetosaylisting a host of OEM TT cars with DCT trans and still implying they have “lag” shows either a real world experience gap or you have some extremely outlier type driving habits. Either way you didn’t list a modern car with an aftermarket turbo setup that you had experienced so we will chalk it up to lack of real world experience. Either way best of luck in your automotive pursuits. If you think a 720s has turbo lag then it seems a big block, pd blower, and 4.10 gears is the only possible combonation for you. 😅

Any new car is a waste of money if your buying it with the purpose of modifying. Could I have done it again I'd probably buy a SRT durango, sell the engine and trans. Buy a built trans, and probably a 426 1800hp rated engine but only run it at like 1200hp so I can use pump E85 and have it be reliable or even 1000hp and just keep using pump gas. Point being just buy used if your gonna max out your build you'll more then likely upgrade or replace OEM parts

Like someone else said it probably helps as well with transmission and throttle response.. I love my 10r80 but sometimes its gear hunting and jerky. Those dual intakes and throttle bodies I bet have a way smoother response
