The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. Hi kelvin sorry for such a late response great video by the way but I was wondering if my 1998 Lexus ls400 happen to have the circuit opening relay due to long cranks/ no starts especially when operating temp, when testing on no start found fuel pump relay to have no B+ so now I’m heading more to the circuit opening relay but have no idea if I have one and where it would be!

Great Info - I have a 91 LS400 that I replaced the Fuel Pump on, parked the car for awhile and go to start and the battery was dead, so threw a charge on, but now car won't start, pulled off intake tract and sprayed with Starter Fluid and she wanted to start but doesn't stay. Any ideas? Was running fine before. Could it be that Resistor maybe?

I watched your video to see if you spoke about where i could connect my immobilizer to the fuel solenoid somewhere. But your video was way over my head. Love your fancy volt testers. I have a 97 surf kzn185 in chch. If you were to have a schematic for your video it would make it way clearer for a guy like me. Still great video.

Hi Kelvin! Does Soarer with 1UZ have a similar fuel system?

Negative, hence why I said soarers were different as they run a fuel pump ecu. I will do a similar video on their system another time. Cheers Kelvin

The is200 system is the same with the circuit opening relay. 2:27

Some of them, we are seeing differences in different submodels just like we see in other Toyota and Lexus models. Like not all 4 runners run twin fuel pump relays. Just keeps it interesting. Cheers Kelvin

Hello was wonderin if you can help diagnose the problem for my 1UZ VVTI. when the car starts it idles fine but once my engine warms up it idles bad to the point if I don't have the A/C turned on, it stalls at a stoplight. when I accelerate the car roars I feel no loss of power. I've had my ECU rebuilt in fact by a reputable person: Lscowboy. Changed my MAF sensor, replaced the temp coolant sensor. bypassed the fuel pump relay. What do you suggest?
