The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. This is so detailed man, thanks for the helpful video 🙏🏻🙏🏻. Do you happened to sell fully assembled vvti throttle body? Mine throws an error code saying the magnetic clutch issues, causing hesitation when engine is on load. New throttle body is too expensive 😓

thanks for this video. Now I know how to fix my nissan patrol. Some times the drive by wire stops working and I have to floor it for it to accelerate a little bit. Thanks a lot.

Can this be done on a non-vvti throttle body from a 2uz? If so where can I get the adapter that goes in the cable side? In doing the same thing with my non drive by wire throttle body. I built an adapter plate to rotate the cable spring pedal position assembly rather than having an adapter inside because I didn't have one. I like your adapter solution better.

I have a 2002 Toyota Epic with a 1UZ motor. It utilizes the drive by wire system. Lately I've been having issues with it starting right up when cold but after driving for a while it cranks and sputters but won't start. I've been stranded on the lake twice now. I've replaced a lot of fuel system components but now am moving to the throttle body again. I have a feeling those little ports you talked about are my issue. Thanks for the explanation.

@@CartuneNZ Just pulled the ECU. All pins looked great. Pulled apart the ECU and it looks pristine inside and out. Pulled throttle body plate and cleaned out the holes with break cleaner but it wasn't bad. Any other advice by chance?

Yes. Look out for my upcoming video on more useless info on a 1uz VVti where I fit a 1uz vvti throttle body onto a 3uz engine , so the throttle body physically interchange. management must be swapped as well to make it work. cheers

I like the cost-effective solution for boat applications. On vehicles, do you have a preference dbw vs. cable?

Sure is. I would like to do a budget ecu for the boats as well to show its about setup and knowledge more than big budgets and still make it work correctly. I prefer DBW but the later 3uz unit is much nicer than the clutched DBW. Cheers Kelvin

I achieved the same thing with an adapter plate (I have since cut it down to a round shape) but I'd love an internal solution that doesn't rotate the connection for the throttle cable. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WgqCL1QehZg.html
