This 80th episode is birthed by an idea of host Donna "Teacher" Vitek, who proposed that there be at times discussion of some of the books published on TJ by Colonel Holowchak. And so, in this episode, "The Many Faces of 'Liberty,'" Vitek and Col. Holowchak discuss the important and recent book, "The disease of liberty": Thomas Jefferson on History and Liberty. The two highlight their discussion by turning to issues such as Black Lives Matter, gay-rights advocacy, and pro-Palestine protests. Are such protest, sometimes accompanied by sanguinary violence, legitimate expressions of the right to free speech?
Enjoy!
