Let me see if I got this right. In a nutshell this version replaces the internal multi-protocol module with an internal ELRS module. As such, you have out of the box ELRS capability only, but no multi-protocol capability (other than separately purchasing an installing an external multi-protocol module)?
*WARNING: Jumper did not consult with the ELRS team when designing this radio, and released it with a serious flaw.* They offered to help -- and Jumper just ignored them. If you had a firmware flash that went wrong, the radio was bricked! You'd need to do soldering and have to buy an FTDI adapter to unbrick it! The ELRS developers have since worked backward to make a way for Jumper T Pro users to be able to recover it. Unfortunately, it still requires opening the radio up, at least with no soldering, but it's a still a major pain in the ass. Way to go developers of ELRS for working up against Jumper's bad design decisions, working basically for free. I'd give this one a hard pass. Companies like Jumper will end up giving ELRS a bad name, and there is no excuse for this. Get the RadioMaster instead, a company that actually worked closely with devs. 1watt isn't necessary on ELRS anyway unless you're doing very extreme long range. ELRS can go for over a mile EASY on just 50mw.
@@CarolinaAirshots You're welcome. It's really a shame Jumper did this. I'm sure that another revision of the radio will address the problem, but it doesn't matter, it just shows what kind of company Jumper is. I wouldn't want their ELRS products knowing this is the way they're doing things.
@@dronecamps Yes, your instinct was correct. Jumper has a history of other issues as well. The Zorro ELRS is looking good, how's the battery life on yours?
I have heard a lot of bad thing about this T-Pro ELRS. Glad they mis-sent me the CRSF version, which is the same as yours. I have a number of CRSF FPC drones that are/will be bound with this radio. For the ELRS drones, I am using T12 MK II ELRS or T16s MK II ELRS. Thank you for your video. When the small screen is lined up, the content on the screen could not be read easily. This is not a problem for those who have a T-PRO; but, it could be difficult for those who don't.
Hey Justin I fly both Betaflight and INav, currently using a Taranis x9d+ but thinking of upgrading. Eyeing the T16s but in theory I like the smaller form factor of the game-style controllers. Do you think the Zorro's switches/buttons/ergonomics make it a suitable choice, given that I do fly INav and need more channels?
I purchased a eachine tx16s and a elrs module at Christmas, I could've waited if I'd known but tbh I much prefer the gimbals on the tx16s to my jumper t-lite...though this pro version probably has better one's than the t-lite?
It is a nice video, thank you.. I want to ask a question about failsafe... On my jumper t pro (ELRS version with 3 receivers)I couldnt find the failsafe settings menu. It has to be On model setup menu/ Internal RF/ Failsafe .. but It doesnt exist. How can I solve the problem..
Hi Is there any chance you would know why on my New Jumper t pro 1000mw internal unit. It says battery low , showing 6.4 volts on the screen But when i test with a volt metre, they are each 4.3 volts Appreciate your help
I have the 4in1 version. Generally a cheap feeling radio not super happy with my purchase. Even more glad that i didn’t buy this. Why wouldn’t they do usb pass through? I don’t like WiFi updates to begin with
Really nice. I'm sure over time the T - Pro will be the T - Pro Beast with Beast of everything including screen. Hu knows. Your videos are definitely ones that you can watch over again with so much information and brilliant reviews you do with a wealth of information. Your definitely one of my favourite RU-vidrs and keep up the good work. Big pat on the back from me.
