Loved seeing all those fabulous WIPs of yours… There are so many beautiful pieces among them and I am positive you will be happy to be reunited with them soon…. I have watched you since you started this journey on flosstube Sherrie and despite your initial misgivings about it I am so glad you have continued… You are the brightest spark in my week and I look forward to watching you for a long time to come… Tare care, Sharon - Australia 🇦🇺
Sherrie, I was so very glad that I was able to see your WIP parade all the way through to the end!! Your projects are beautiful!! Thank you!! I have a nice piece of Lyrebird from Fox & Rabbit all ready to go!😊
Thanks for the WIP Parade. You have such beautiful projects. I always say one stitch at a time and someday you will get them all done. You need to just enjoy the process of the stitching but I know what you mean on how will it all get done. I have 35 WIP's and I didn't want to go past 30 because I wanted to do 200 stitches a day and just work on one project a day so I can enjoy and stitch on every single one in a month. Happy Stitching.
I love your colors for Christmas garden. I think you are to hard on yourself. I was glad I hung in there with you. It was almost three hours long. My first time watching you. Love it
I’m so glad I found you. You were making laugh because you saying things to yourself that I say myself. We’re separated by the pond and still thinking alike. Awesome stitching and WIP parade.
What a lovely way to spend a wet & windy Sunday morning, I’m so glad I watched. Your cat one with highlighter on, first of all I’d leave it as it is had you not said anything about the 2 colours of back stitch I would never of known and I’m probably not alone and second the highlighter should come out if you give it a wash, I’ve done things like that in the past and it worked for me. Happy stitching
I could watch you every day! Been a crazy week, so I watched you in segments just as you recorded it! Glad to see you have lots of lovely beginnings and WIPS. You are not alone. Thank you for all the joy and inspiration you bring, Sherrie!❤
Loved watching your WIP parade! With the interfacing and carrying the threads, it depends how you want to finish it. If you want to frame it then you wouldn’t put interfacing on the back as you won’t be able to stretch it properly but if you want a pillow or draw string bag then you could interface and then stitch the ninja stitches 😊
I was so glad to see that you had posted a new video! I love to sit and stitch while watching your videos... You're such joy to spend my stitchy time with!! I can't wait for the next one. Happy stitching.
You have some lovely wips in your stash. Well done and I’ll bet you’re glad you’ve pulled them all out and found how much you still love them. Have a great week and happy stitching 🌸💞🌸
Love love LOVE the Bothy cats. Darker backstitch. And your Mum is right..... a pink flower or butterfly for the marker. So much work cannot be wasted!!! 😘😘😘😘🥰Here since your 1st FlossTube. I bought the Owl Forest calendar because of you. I need to get it started!!!
Wonderful WIP parade video!!!! I enjoyed the fact it took you more than one day to film it!!! It took me several to watch it & to catch my breath from giggling!!! Thank you for all the inspiration, I even managed to finish up a WIP while watching! Just keep stitching on all the pieces & make them your own! I'm always glad when I see you have made a video & know I will get to laugh!! Thank you
Well Sherrie, brilliant WIP show. It took 3 sessions to watch but well worth every minute. Sorry I missed the start of your series, I'm so happy to have enjoyed the last 6 months. Glad I had the opportunity to meet you in person and you are a kind stitcher in real life as on flosstube. Congratulations on both your milestones. X
So Glad you have done a wip parade. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. I managed to get quite a lot of stitching done. And not a drop of coffee was spilt! Keep up the good work, my lovely
Your wip parade was amazing🎉 I was glad to be swept along and have a little list of patterns to check out next time I want something new. That gorgeous long dog 1 down 3 across ❤❤❤ and the Christmas Parade ❤❤❤. Thank you, Karen.
Watched all the way through,l had forgotten how lovely the reindeer is,so glad you have got your love back for your older wips,I’ve got a couple that l need to get back to and you have given me a much needed kick up the derrière 😂 to get them done. 💕
So glad I made time to sit down and watch this today - I really enjoyed seeing all your WIPs. Isn't it lovely, looking through it all, remembering things you've started and being inspired to pick them up again. I think your Christmas Garden piece looks fabulous, just as it is, by the way.
I had fun watching your wip parade. You have some lovely things on the go. When you figure out where you are going to find the time to stitch all the things, please let me know. I thought once I'd retired that I would have tons of time to stitch. I do have more time to stitch, but not nearly enough time to finish all the projects that I want to stitch! I really hope there is cross stitch in heaven.
I've so enjoyed seeing all your WIP Sherrie! There are a number I hadn't seen before that may now be on my shopping list 😂🙈 So glad you decided to go ahead and film this ❤
Sherrie, Sherrie, Sherrie... You are stitching pieces of art. As the stitcher you can vary the chart as you wish! Don't take the backstitch out on the first cat in the row of cats. Each cat is a different color and doesn't need the same color of backstitching. Your mom is right, stitch a butterfly on the large ink spot. And add a few honey bees to the stitch, with one over the small ink spot. On you Christmas Garden piece, just keep stitching and don't be sad because it's lovely. You made an artist choice for the color of floss you are stitching with, now stitch away! GLAD
Very glad to see this video pop up today, you've filled my Sunday afternoon with stitching though you've also made me look at more new patterns which I really don't need 😂 currently stitching on the blue flower hearts for pam. Enjoy your week ❤
Sherrie, your Christmas Garden is absolutely gorgeous, do not start over, I completed it last year and changed the colors to be darker. Please don't start over, it's beautiful.
You have a lot of lovely WIPS on the go. I am very tempted by some of them, but I only have about 4 on the go at any time, so they need to go on the would like to stitch list. GLAD.
On your really old cat WIP, I like the lighter backstitch... but for the highlight issue, I would put a sun on the big splotches & a little butterfly on the small splotches, like the kitten is playing with it!
Love a good wip parade and you always make everything enjoyable! Today I folded towels, stitched, made my lunch while we visited. Lol had some comments but I forget now. The blended thread one I do remember and stitch on girl! Thanks for a fun video! I need to sort mine, haven’t counted but not that many although being monogamous since feb it will feel like new friends whenI sort through. Lol
Well I completely enjoyed that - you were two lovely afternoons of company while I stitched, so thank you. I should tell you also when I suggested the sun in "Sunflower Inn" to hide your marker stain on your cats, it isn't a whole round sun - no, just the bottom with some sunrays so it wouldn't change the shape of your project. Hope that works because it was a really cute pattern. Happy stitching until your next video! New friend, Linda from Florida
Great WIP parade! Loved seeing all your projects. I have sooo many projects kitted, now just need the time to work on them. Like many, I wanna stitch all the things. LOL! Enjoyed seeing your kittie. It made me laugh. Typical cat behavior. The glad tidings chart is on my wishlist. So pretty. I would keep working on your Christmas sampler with the threads you picked. You’ve made thread changes in other projects, so this wouldn’t be much different. Just my opinion. I think it looks great as is. Stitch on!
Was so glad to see your WIP parade come up! On your piece with backstitching, I liked the lighter weight thread….it was a good accent without overwhelming the piece. Don’t feel bad about the DMC alternatives for Christmas Garden…I never noticed that 2 colors were provided either and would have done the same as you. I chose Dinky Dyes floss and these are only lightly variegated. Your WIPs are so lovely!
Such a great wip parade. I'm going to be starting a few of the Halloween one's that you are working on, hopefully. I want to stitch all the things too.
On the Xmas sampler I would finish the first row, put the border below and finish it in a rectangular frame or pillow and then start over the complete piece. This way you keep what you done, which is beautiful and don't regret not having the called for stitch. 🎄
In the chart of the cats, maybe you can stitch a ballon or a kite with a tail in the pink spot. The backstitch can be different colors. Great wip parade!!! Thank you!!
Oh Kerrie, all your WIPs are spectacular and so glad that you shared them with us ❤ which ones are you going to do, cos I wouldn’t know where to start 😳😂😘 xxx
Hi Sherrie, I hope you are glad that you have done your first WIP parade? And what a parade it was 🥰🥰. Many beautiful projects at various stages of completion & some hard decisions to be made for others? I like the way you have personalised your Christmas garden & I can understand your disappointment. However I wonder what you would say to a stitchy friend who had done the same as you have? The Christmas garden is on my list for starting this year, so if you are really set on getting rid of your one then I would gladly take it on! So keep it in mind lovely xxx
I agree with your mom. Either a butterfly or a flower. Use a different color for the back-stitches for each cat in the design. Individual cats have different colors.
I have three halloween trees, all small, mermaid, merman, a black and orange glitter tree and they're about 12 inches or so high 🎃 I have the Halloween witch and did not realize theres an alternate colored version on back. I am definitely doing that one. I have a colletion of witch hats I hang from my hall ceiling and half a dozen elegantly dressed witch dolls from Tuesday Morning (now closed sadly!)
Wow, I just couldn't stop watching so early hours now but so glad I did. You not only refreshed your love of your wips but me too as I remembered you stitching on them, only a few bothy ones I didn't know so thank you. I just wondered, do you have a final count because I lost count or are you avoiding the total number altogether 😮 Happy stitching xx
I was so glad to see this video pop up in my notifications, thoroughly enjoyed, thank you Sherrie for sharing your beautiful WIPs. It'll be interesting to see what you stitch on over the next few weeks and looking forward to joining you with the 'Away We Ride' stitch 💗
I’M SORRY!!!! It was me, your fellow ‘Dodd’ who asked about the threads on Christmas Garden. Feel terrible that you’re feeling like that about it now! Please don’t stop stitching it. It looks great without the blending, it really does. Won’t be able to look at mine without feeling guilty if you don’t finish yours.🙏🏻
Aha I should’ve realised 🙈🤣 it’s fine janette, I literally realised myself about an hour before your comment which was slightly weird. The Dodd’s must align in the universe 🤣
@@justsewsherrie just wondered if you knew as I've heard other flosstubers complain about the Russian floss from owl forest giving the impression they weren't aware the overdyed dmc is available from them. I understand keeping costs down so you can buy more 😁
Please carry on Sherrie, you’ve done far too much to give up and start again . If it’s going to bother you though well that’s up to you . Dilemma for you only 🤷🏼♀️
Well that was lots of fun and I especially love the Kitty Cameos, they always seem to know the best time to join us. I love the idea of using 2 bobbins and ‘rolling’ the stitching between them, I’m totally trying that. Until next time, happy stitching!
Lovely Sunday morning in bed stitching watching your whip’s. I have the snow queen kitting up to stitch, this Winter. 😊love stitching quakers, so glad I watched until the end ❤
Don't change your christmas sampler, or get rid of it. It looks beautiful, just think of it as unique and one of a kind just like you ❤ I've watched you channel from the start. My partner always knows when I'm watching your flosstube cos I sit there laughing at your stories. Thanks for sharing your stitching with us
Thanks for keeping me entertained while stitching. It was nice to see some old wips. Wip parades always make me want to go through all mine but I’m finally focused on a few pieces so I won’t dare go digging around lol. Glad you fell back in love with some stunners.
So very glad I stayed right to the end Sherrie. although nothing I love more than a feature film length Flosstube. It was definitely worth the time spent with you 😊
Oh Sherrie... I have had such an enjoyable afternoon watching your wip's. Your work is fabulous. I hope you are glad it's all wrapped up for now. You are some woman!!!!
