Makes sense when Kazuha reactivated the electro vision of his friend while literally fighting the Electro Archon. If Raiden had the power to deny it, she would have.

And we called Ei simping for Lisa, when in reallity was someone in Celestia who was simping for Lisa.

There is a theory about Tsaritsa's true intentions could be to cut the archon's tie with Celestia by taking away their gnoses, and the reason to why the Fatui are producing Delusions is to create an alternative version similar to Visions without needing to connect the user's ties with Celestia (since Delusions are man-made).

Kazuha being a wanderer and free spirited having Anemo vision, But activating the Electro vision to not loose another friend and charging head on to defend us, has got to be the coolest moment in Genshin history!

I once heard that visions were speculated to be restraints rather than gifts. One of the reasons why Lisa suddenly “got a vision” because she’s speculated to be an amazing sorceress without a vision. Would also explain how Kaeya got a vision because I cannot explain why Celestia would possibly give one to him if they’re supposed to be gifts

My theory is that the reason vision holders ideals tend to be somewhat in line with their respective archons' is because Celestia uses the Archons as templates and people with strong wills that also align well with an Archon can be granted a Vision, and because she spent so long in her plane, Ei is a bad template for modern mortals. Now that she is willing to step out of her personal plane more; she will likely change and thus be more like the mortals around her and vice versa so new electro visions incoming.

So that means, rather than Kaeya being pitied and given a chance to live by the Tsarista, he was kept alive intentionally by Celestia, likely for a greater reason.

It's heavily hinted in the Japanese and Chinese version. Visions in Japanese is called ' Eye of god ' (神の目/Kami no me) and the Chinese also means Eye of god. So visions are a way of the 'gods' to keep an eye on 'ambitious' individuals. While a gnosis is called a god's heart (神の心/kami no kokoro)

The vision bearers' desires aligning with the archon of their respective elements also empowers the pawn theory. They can become replacements.

The second element is fate. Mona once said that all of the Vision bearers have their constellations on the night sky of Teyvat, perfectly predicting their destiny. Celestia has no need to monitor for potential Vision bearers, for their destinies are known in advance and their identities are probably predetermined.

I think Celestia wants the people of teyvat to think the visions are granted by the archons so that the seven have good will and the people more easily follow the archons and consequently obey celestia since the archons are somewhat controlled by celestia. Hence why they stopped giving out electro visions when raiden initiated the sakuko and vision hunt decrees, so that people wouldn’t get suspicious that she wasn’t the one giving out visions

I had my suspicion on this topic for a long time. Venti fell asleep after the cataclysm so how can people received Anemo vision. Ei's Gnosis in Narukami Shrine and her dialogue about Vision has prove it.

I think that the process in granting visions is similar to attaining a level up in DanMachi or earning a moniker in a famous character's backstory where a Vision is granted when the desire of a certain individual is strong enough to be recognized by the gods and they perform a great deed that wouldn't have been possible if they didn't follow that desire.

Well if you pay attention to new screen loading script, they actually talk about the vision. It’s say like this: “Rumor has it that when someone’s wishes are extremely powerful, the gods will peer down upon him, and a Vision will appear”. It’s indicate that the Vision really appear out of no where. Which means the “Gods” (I assume Celestia) directly bestow them with Vision.

Visions are given through one's ambition and I think the price they have to pay is to carry the burden of their ambition. When you talk to the man in the teahouse where you usually meet up with Thoma and Ayaka, he would say that relinquishing his vision made him feel lighter like something heavy is lifted from him.

the thing about the matching ideals sound realy simple. Venti tells us that that vision users are potential gnosis candidates, so the fact that an archon has matching ideals with the vision users of his element is no big deal considering that they are on the same path just different in rank

In the loading screen, it states that tyvat has its own "laws". I believe it has something to do with how visions manifest. Kind of like the law of physics and thermal dynamics, elements are drawn towards particular sources under specific conditions. This is why elemental creatures of every type of element freely exist everywhere

The "other side to visions" that Ei mentions is, I think, deductible. Based on gnostic religion, God or Demiurge (in genshin, probably the Heavenly Principles) designed a series of "lesser gods" to control the people who had the potential to ascend to godhood (as all beings created by Monad, the creator of Demiurge and all humans, had this inherent capability if they cultivated their soul enough), and jail or hunt them, would they ever start taking the steps to ascension. Celestia gives out the visions, since they are probably a "tag" that enhances the persons own powers, making people believe that visions grant power, when in reality the bearers of visions were only given a little boost for an element in exchange for a permanent tag on their whereabouts and progress to ascension (unbeknownst to them, of course); this is also backed further by what happened with Kazuha (The vision didn't grant him the power, it just reacted to his own and boosted it for a moment). The archons probably just monitor their region, and send those close to ascension (like Venessa) to Celestia, which is most likely either a jail or a place where they get executed (this is probably why venti is depressed and hesitant about letting Venessa ascend in the webtoon, and also why he's always trying to avoid his duties and drowning his worries in alcohol). At least this is what makes most sense to me idk.

I have long speculated that there was an "automatic" system...Venti was asleep for so long, first between the rebellion and Venessa, and then after the battle with Durin untill today. Yet there was no records of Anemo visions stopping to appear. It didnt make sense for Venti to be able to grant visions while unconcious and didnt know what was going on.

I want to belive that Vanessa acknowledged Jean's efforts and desires so she granted Jean a vision.

i feel that a visions element isnt defined by the corresponding archons ideas, but the archons ideas are defined by the elements itself, and people obtain their visions element that is closest to the elements ideas , rather than the archons itself.

visons are also granted when certain conditions are met for electro its to see world differnnt for ex fishcl thinks shes from other world and razor thinks hes a wolf the reason pyro vision is so dominating is beacuse the condition for getting pyro vision is very simple its to just have the passion to do something like xinyan on music or bennett being a good adventure

I mean she didn't even had to say this though. Kazuha's friend's vision somehow awakened for Kazuha to use AGAINST Baal, who is definetly both that vision's regional and elemental archon. This means she had nothing to do with granting/awakining that vision for Kazuha to use.

Also, I remember a thread on the wiki (Electro page I think) mention the similarities of the different vision holders. Electro people are often lonely/isolated. (Keqing - radical who doesn't believe in Rex Lapis; Fischl - chuuni no one really talks to; Razor - grew up with wolves and prefers them over people) Pyro users are usually passionate about something? (Amber - her job as an outrider; Xinyan - music; Xiangling - food) Cryo users are stuck in a situation (Kaeya - Khaenria, Mond; Qiqi - life and death, Rosaria - being a nun but being her). Geo users are stable and reliable. I don't remember the rest and I could be wrong, but their analysis is still there in the comments. So, if besides their desire and personality/circumstances, I wonder what else deems someone worthy of a vision.

I think we will find out more about celestia in the city of wisdom. So hyped for sumeru already. Maybe Cyno is a prophet of some sort and knows what celestia is doing and will enlighten the traveler

Maybe we will get more info's about this & also Celestia in the next region. Since the Dendro Archon is the God of Wisdom.

I always felt this was the case as the characters always said "Favor of the gods" and not favor of the Archons, meaning that the Archons don't grant the visions.

Your "desire" must really be so strong to be able to get a vision, look at those npcs who have so much potential yet are visionless

I hope that at some point in the story we get to see a Vision being granted, that would be a powerful moment.

So Visions are likely granted by Celestia but the element Chosen tends to align with the Current Archons Ideal. Well, this was a surprise. Lots like all those conspiracy theories on visions are firing up again.

Anemo vision check list be like:- 1) Freedom? ✓ 2) Dead friend? ✓ 3) Cute? ✓

That makes sense, there were reports that people aren't getting any electro vision for over a year since the vision hunt decree and the decree happened 1 year later, maybe if people's ambition were related to eternity maybe they'd get electro vision.

If the visions are granted along the lines of the Archons desires, When Raiden started the vision hunt decree, granting visions stopped at the same time because she wanted to stop people having visions.

in yae's dialogue, she said that ei had "severed all ties with celestia" a long time ago, so maybe that had something to do with there not being any new electro visions being granted too?

weird fact I noticed while playing genshin: I always found it strange that our ults were powered from when our enemies die and some thing comes out and powers it but also it sometimes does it on its own does that mean it is similar to delusions and is killing us slowly? Since the power to charge the ult comes from the soul of the dead enemy?

So that means celestia will have a checklist for each vision. If someone mets the conditions they will be granted that particular vision. Interesting

To be honest these archons have fought wars to obtain a seat among the seven. People that have visions can become archons so why grant keys to your throne. It’s not in their best interest to grant these visions.

I hope we can have an arc about a normal person with "ambition" gained a vision along the story then help out what next for this character.

We’re forgetting the fact, we were told in game that delusions work properly if the wielder has an immense hate for something. Maybe Tsaritsa is trying to make the world hate celestia and become an army.🤷🏻‍♂️

"The other side", huh ? I wonder if it could be something like "the price to pay" that Zhongli mentions, or the part about Lisa : "with the aid of her Vision, Lisa acquired the knowledge she sought. But she also sensed the deep secret hiddden in the shadows of that knowledge. For whatever reason, the gods gave human the key to changind everything, but they did not explain the cost involved". I think it's hinted that vision have terrible cost , like sucking the life out from their owner so Celestia use it as an energy or something like that.

I see it like this Celestia gods: "Oh, this person has an ambition about freedom, just like the current anemo archon Barbatos. We'll give that person an Anemo Vision"

Celestia Gods: Oh look, an interesting person. Let's give them a Vision that suits them the most.

Honestly the fact that Celestia can grant vision but if a vision is taken away from someone that person becomes lifeless seems more like a way for Celestia to control people with a strong will instead of helping them- The same goes with the gnosis for the Gods... it seems more like a mechanism to prevent them from using their power against Celestia than anything else.

My theory is that since people who get a vision somewhat agree with the views of the archon, when the sakoku decree started the views of raiden became so different that no one can think similarly

This changes everything. So now we can say that the Archons are just puppets and figureheads to play a part in Celestia's game of chess. Archons have power but not absolute authority where visions are a concern and with the rules of the world. Imagine the demigods and magical creatures that use to exist Celestia used them all as a means to an end.

There is so much conflicting information concerning visions For example, In Klee's dialogue about visions, it states that a vision is a gift from Barbatos to say, "Well done." From this dialogue, we can deduce that: A - Visions are granted by whatever deity presides over the territory B - The presiding deity can grant any elemental vision they desire C - That more than one Archon is involved in the granting of visions D - The element of a vision is conducive to one's personality *NOTE* If B is true, then C and D cannot be true. And if C is true, then B is not true, nor is D. Lastly if D is true, Then A is also likely true. From Venti's dialogue about Visions, We learn that Venti can make us a Vision just like his. Now, if this is true, then we know that Venti can make Visions, however, we don't know whether or not Venti can determine the element inside a vision. In Archon quest Chapter 2 Act 1, The traveler states that the Mikage Furnace is where Venti must have gotten his "Vision." These 2 pieces of information conflict with each other meaning that it is possible that neither one of these statements is correct. From Zhongli, we learn that Visions are also a type of contract, meaning that both parties must agree upon terms. These terms may differ from person to person, and it is also worth considering that the terms of this "contract" may well determine the element of the vision in question. Finally, we learn from The Raiden Shogun that she was not aware that electro visions were no longer being administered. However, nothing says that visions stopped appearing in Inazuma. From this, we can learn that another possibility is that Visions are granted by Celestia. However, assuming that they are administered by Celestia, it seems rather odd that either the Gods didn't notice that Ei was taking visions away, or they simply didn't care. In the Archon quest Chapter 2 Act 3, Yae Miko says the following: "What your people want from you is not your promises. They want your attention... your divine gaze (refering to visions). This would suggest that Archons do administer visions after all. In the end, the fact is that we simply do not have enough information to come to one solid conclusion. We will just have to wait for more future content in order to find out.

Celestia lets you unintentionally answer the "Which of the Seven Archons are you?" survey on your day to day lives and bases the vision they grant you on the result of the survey.

That really makes sense about how it always said that visions aren’t blessings, but curses. Lisa for example explained too how she doesn’t use her vision much for curious reasons and it scared that it might go do things on it’s own- And how albedo wants to uncover all of it’s “secrets”??

Everyone’s talking about how ppl are given visions for the element that lines up with an archons personality, but what if the personality requirements were already there, and the gods chose archons that already fit the template (so for example, venti was given wind cos he’s a god of freedom, he wasn’t the one who chose freedom to be a requirement of wind) It might explain why gods have a bunch of domains, venti was already the freedom god before he was the wind god. Mora was already the contract god before he was the stone god. They chose the gods that already matched the element.

Also with the vision is based on an archons ideal is probably true as all the characters that have the same element are all similar Like how all pyro characters when they got their vision were very passionate and optimistic, or how cryo characters have family issues probably since cryo is God of love apparently

Baal doesn't want people to wield a vision because vision wielders are "the chosen" by Celestia, If the people deceases their souls will ascend to Celestia. You can read more about Celestia & Visions in Manga, Venessa ascended to Celestia and inside that, you'll see *ALOT* of somekind of rooms

an even more interesting fact is that nahida's dialogue about vision. while it is a riddle but i think this comes with a huge hint that visions might not be granted because only for acknowledgement, but also to look at the holder's movements.

This technically proves that there are people who can use two visions. Imagine Dual vision mode characters that would be pog!

Xiao's vision story mentions, "But do adepti receive their Visions as a form of acknowledgement from Celestia like humans do?".

The way I see it is that, visions are indeed granted by an unknown being from Celestia, but the terms and conditions to get one are decided by the archons of a specific element. Ex: Sayu and Venti are so much alike personality wise :)

I had this theory for a long time actually, that celestia uses the gnosis to channel the archons' elemental energy and use it to give visions to the allogenes to monitor them. Maybe it has something to do with the archons ideals, or maybe Ei's gnosis run out of elemental energy to channel after 500 years

My theory is that Vision holders get their vision based on Archon's perspective so that they believe in Archons unlike Khaenri'ah

So guys Its our job to spread the news.. to old genshin player and other players that do not read lores.. because there is a big misconception about visions. and theory about it. many people already made a video of how archons gave visions.. so lets clear this thing

The way I see it, the Archons are the base line for the visions. Cause when you share an element you establish a connection with them in a way. You have to align with them to get them. So essentially the archons grant the vision to them undirectly but as Celestia watches over Teyvat it is also the distribution center for the vision that basically grant the power of elements.

I have just started reading the web comic of Genshin Impact and Celestia is shrouded in a lot of mystery that even Venti doesn't want to talk about. So if it were true that Celestia is the one that grants people a "vision" based on their desires and ambitions then perhaps the price or cost that comes with it isn't as great as they claim it to be a gateway or ascension to godhood. I may be wrong though but after seeing how not having the favor of the gods (which includes Celestia) has taken a toll on ordinary people's minds in the game.

I’ve been saying this from the start of the whole game, and yet people who pays zero attention to the story keeps saying that archons grant visions. I mean like come on, Zhongli doesn’t even know who albedo and noelle are, raiden shogun has no business of granting a vision to beidou when haishan has no relation to inazuma whatsoever. Yup, someone here clearly blindly accepts the story as fact, not to mention never having read any other lores, keeps on pushing that we should trust a researcher who doesn’t even have a vision.

Maybe it's just like in No Game No Life, where if you gather all the chess pieces, only you would be able to have a chance to contend against the enemy. Or the Cryo Archon is gathering all Gnosis so when the day they attack comes, Celestia won't be able to control the other Archons through their Gnosis.

The idea that people are granted visions based on the ideal of that element's archon is very likely but I think that its based on a trait that that element's archon has instead. For example all pyro users surely do not wish for war, but rather they are very passionate about something, Xiangling with her cooking, Xinyan with her music, Diluc about becoming a knight (his vision was given to him before his father's death) and so on.

Ok, so the visions are granted by the Celestia but the element aligns with the archon's ideals. idk, something about Yoimiya and Hu Tao going to war seems really funny. edit: it's just a joke

How long had the vision hunt decree been active for again? Maybe because the visions line up with the archons ideals the reason they stopped being given out was because the electro archon had a negative opinion towards visions?

You know, I came up with a theory that since vision is not tied to the archon as much as we originally thought, and more about one's desire, it would explain a couple of stuff. 1. it's why most people who gets vision are kids / teens. Such period of someone's life are when one's ambition is among the strongest. 2. It explains why different nation has different shape of Vision. Where one grows up determines what nation the vision is tied to, thus why Kaeya, Albedo (from khaen'riah) and Amber (who is half Liyuean) has Mondstat vision. 3. continuation to number 2, it might also explain why Some hilichurls are able to control elements, because they perceive the tangible form of ambition differently from human. Maybe, for them, they perceive them as a form of a staff! The staff carried by samachurl are Hilichurl's version of Vision. But that's just my theory!

I mean I always figured this was the case, it makes no logical sense that archons would pass out visions to individuals whom they've never met. I guess people take the title of 'god' a little too literally in the wrong religious direction, as there's no evidence of an archon knowing someone they haven't met or heard of.

“Archons do not grant or deny visions” that statement is contradicted by another statement saying that archons can refuse to give someone a vision of their respective element even if that person is worthy of one. To me either of those statements were a lie or mihoyo forgot their own lore

The thing is that it explains why almost no dendro visions appear to exist, its mostlikely because the people dont meet the "Desire" reqired to get it just like electro visions.

It may also be becoz she has no ties with celestia as mentioned in the story. As a result no new electro visions were granted to the people of teyvat.

Now that's a twist to the story

The only reason why they stopped giving electro vision is that mihoyo didn't buff the element.

My personal belief is that each element for a vision has a specific emotion or ideal behind it; Anemo being the loss of someone close, Geo being upholding what they believe in, Pyro being not giving up, Hydro being caring about someone / people deeply and Cryo being suffering
