I would like to ask you a thing either. If the RelayNode is seen like a UE by the eNodeB, it will be able to see it in eNodeB Uplink Spectrum. The RelayNode is static, so it will not change his frequency allocation since the position is static. Is it possible to design a CA technology to it, and have a better bandwidth available and more Resources Blocks to this RelayNodes?(Since it is a "dense usage equipment") I believe that would improve his performance. Thank you

Thanks for the new one. I have discussion with someone on another forum online. Routers we are concerned with just got CAT 6 LTE-A capability. He was telling me there is already providers with CAT 9. He then tells me Verizon has 3 carrier aggregation as CAT 9. I was trying to find if more was required to be CAT 9 besides just 3 carrier aggregation. Online Wikipedia site lists providers and when the released certain CAT. It doesn't show anyone in the U.S. with CAT9, not even Verizon. So I have to wonder if they didn't really meet the requirements of CAT 9 (3GPP 11?) ? Or maybe the Wikipedia article needs updating?

Thanks for showing interest Alan. we take most of our data from 3gpp. In the link below you will find CA explanation. www.3gpp.org/technologies/keywords-acronyms/101-carrier-aggregation-explained you will also find that it has been mentioned that in Release11 maximum aggregated carrier is still 2. But Operators have the choice to deviate from the specs. So yes maybe they have implemented 3CA but didn't meet all the requirements of Release 11. Besides Cat6, cat9 these are all device specs. There are smartphones such as Google Pixel, Samsung Note7 which claims to be Cat12 device with support for 3CA. Sony Xperia XZpremium claims to be CAT16 with support for 4CA. Hope we were able to address your doubt. happy learning. :)

Thanks a lot Francisco for the nice words. It's your support, that keeps us motivated. We want to cover everything that is remotely related to LTE. We are trying to complete the fundamental series as fast as we can, So that we can start with Architecture and call flows( which was our initial goal). So we will definitely cover D2D sidelink but we cannot confirm you the dates. In the meantime keep enjoying our videos. Happy Learning.

How can a relay node be used to increase coverage outside the donor eNodeB coverage area (3:02) when relay nodes use LTE as backhaul? MWR?

Why Small cell help to increase the data capacity? If small cell take the signal from Macro base station then its capacity cannot over the capacity of Macro cell, right?

+Tuấn Nguyễn Mạnh - In case of small cells the same frequency can be reused. Thus more users can be served. Small cell donot take the signal from macro base stations. They may share the backhaul.

Hi i need to know in Relay we having backhaul connectivity is wirelessly by SIM. Can u tell me ihow this sim will connected to operators EPC? which parameters we need to know for this, if possible please share ur Mob number also, please share multple methods to connect this to operators network
