Combat proficiency in the U.S. Army is defined by three basic principles: shoot, move and communicate. Although very elementary ideas, the mastering of these concepts takes years of tireless training.
West Virginia Army National Guard (WVARNG) Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Bn., 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) (2/19th) attended Special Forces Basic Combat Course - Support (SBBCS) at Fort Harrison, Mo., July 19-28, 2022, to ramp their execution of these basics to a whole new level while building trust and camaraderie with Special Operations Forces (SOF) serving in the unit.
Most special operations require non-SOF assistance. This is why support Soldiers in the 2/19th’s 528th Forward Support Co. (Airborne), Company E Forward Support Co., and Company C are empowered to operate at a specialized level when joining the unit.
When deployed worldwide, 2/19th operators must be able to trust in their support personnel. SBBCS builds that trust between the groups because most of the training was taught by the 2/19 operators themselves. This has a two-fold benefit of also making the SOF Soldiers more effective teachers (a role they hold in joint and hostile environments).
While conducting SBBCS, the 2/19th also completed a series of other trainings that honed their warrior tasks and unique skill sets as airborne Soldiers.
Being brilliant at the basics makes 2/19th Soldiers operators lethal assets with SBCCS, the rest of the unit is now one step closer to that benchmark of lethality, as they continue to master their combat efficiency as Soldiers of the West Virginia Army National Guard.

I Myself have really and truly appreciate watching the kind of Military Forces Videory, featuring United States Military Personnel being trained and taught by Other United States Military Personnel, whether West Virginia Army National Guard ( WV ARNG ) 2/19 SFGA( A) Support Company, or , Force Reconnaissance Marines learning AMT ( Advanced Marksmanship Techniques ) from Active Duty or National Guard Special Forces Soldiers.🇺🇲🇺🇸🪖💣💥🔥🇺🇲🇺🇸

Do CCT or TACPs have to complete this course before attaching?
@asce9182

No, they are fully trained through the Air Force Special Tactics Training pipeline. The only people attending this course are Cooks, Logisticians, and Mechanics that are assigned to support Special Forces.

Other units like the 82nd may support while 75th ranger regiment act as a quick reaction force.

There are quite a few like admin, medics, logisticians, maintenance, cooks, commo, chemical, etc. If you are interested just check with a recruiter and they will tell you what MOS they need at the unit. I was SF support on active duty and went through the training myself. I was former infantry, so much of it was refresher training for me at the time, but was still a blast to do.

@@WestVirginiaNationalGuard I'm interested in the forward support company, any links to the positions for the unit? I'm prior service and looking to contribute again. I've not been able to find out much about this unit.
