I disagree I think he is to low in the mix and I don't think he's trying to sound like Dave he's young he's probably trying to sing like a d jent band..
Old school Megadeth fan here from the 80's. I love that you're playing a song that none of you were even alive when it came out. I happen to think rust in peace is the best album they ever put out. It's so great to see gen z playing this type of highly technical metal from the early 90's
So strange to see schoolmates so excited about this. You were pretty much picked on and called all sorts of names for listening to metal in my highschool, about 12-13 years ago.
@@dalegribble9101 if your only counterargument is my spelling then you have no counterargument. You're probably the singer's alt account the way you're slobbing on his knob
I remember playing a couple of talent shows in high school my junior and sr years. I ended up touring and playing tons of shows in the 2000’s, this brings back memories 😂 hope these dudes love for playing live metal music keeps going
Great job. All of you...singer has his own personality and he s still too young. Don't hear the stupid comments. Greetings from Argentina , the second megadeth home.
Great cover! Watching the singer and lead guitarist interaction...they might as well have hid the drummer and bassist behind the curtain. Minus the solo the bass is just as if not more technical. That song always gives me goosebumps
Goes to show you there’s tons of kids who don’t want what’s being served on the menu in today’s musical landscape. They’re is a real hunger for real musicians who play real instruments
The vocals need work, but as a whole this is one of the more entertaining talent show band videos I've seen. Maybe the most entertaining just due to the singer and guitarist's stage presence. Great job guys keep at it!
Great job guys! Guitar player rocked! Singer actually has some really solid potential, but just needs some good vocal training. You guys might have something here. Write some originals and get out there and rock!
@@jacobhealy8659 Ah...I have the 50 watt, was curious if that was a Katana. Impressive sound out of the amp. Was that straight amps or are they plugged into a board? If not, impressive sound quality. Is that a Schecter (hard to see headstock)? Great song choice, and sounded great!
@@jeremycarlson1189looks like a schecter shape more than a Jackson. I have a Jackson and it’s more narrow body and the headstock is more pointy. Ibanez can be 100% ruled out because there is no middle single coil
drummer very solid, guitarist alright(6,5/10), have shitty headphones so I can't hear the bass well, singer 4/10 (nice how he feels the music but lack of skill imo), amazing stage presence from guitarist and singer, good stage presence from drummer and man the bassist looks like he doesn't wanna be there lol. Overall I'd give that performance a 5/10 if I were to judge them professionally, for a highschool talent show I'll give an 8/10. Holy wars is a very difficult song. Good job guys, keep it up
Dude this was sick. Guitarist has my respect. Feel bad for the singer tho. Getting too much flak. All he needs to do is sing higher on the octave. He has what he needs otherwise. Drummer was solid, so was the bassist.
From what I can make out only by the video, the vocalist is overdoing it on the presence but not on the actual vocals. If he works on the singing he can be a great frontman just needs improvement.
yeah it definetly was not my best solo moment my hands were so shaky as it was my first time playing in front of an audience so it made it extra hard 😔
@@jacobhealy8659 You did great dude, way better than our Seek & Destroy in 1989 on VHS here, the following year we played a Halloween show at the skatepark on the back of a flatbed semi trailer and it was freezing sleet, couldn't feel my fingers at all!
