I like it. My version: From right to left: The rock guy - is 30 still playing in the garage of his parents after his 5th band flopped. The blues guy - works as a pro musician, no one knows his name but played with legends. The guy - Mortals only meet him once. He shows up at your local pub / club / stage, plays an epic impromptu solo blowing everyone away. Leaves without even speaking. :)

As someone who’s played guitar for years, there’s no doubt the right guy one. There’s a difference between knowing how to play fast and knowing how to play well
I noticed that right away. But it doesn't look like a bad amp, almost sounds to me like that was a pedal he plugged in and it's distortion and the amps distortion aren't getting along. If only he spent as much time tone searching as he did shredding 😂
@@MrPSG200 no, it's definitely a bad amp lmao. looks like a Line 6 Spider or something, and those have notoriously terrible tone.. not a bad guitarist, but that amp... bleh
@@saulmorris9639: care to elaborate on that? Are you clairvoyant? There’s some element of truth to the fact that the greatest talents (whether it’s guitar, bass, drums or ukulele), are often overlooked because they’re playing the hell out of their instruments in their basements, is that what you’re thinking? Otherwise, that’s just an unkind comment. Should I deduce-from your comment-that you will be a quadriplegic within the next three years? I’m a quad, and I’m here for you…anytime. There you go. A longer and more ridiculous comment than yours, now can you please explain what you meant?
As a pro player my vote: Long hair guys wins by a lot. The 2 other guys have great potential and they should grow their hair out. It’s a scientifically proven fact that longer hair increases your level of talent ,,, true fact !!!!
There's always a guy in a guitar battle that cheets the audience's approval by playing Eddie's Eruption 🤣... But the shred God in this battle was that guy with the long hair
My sister said she wanted to learn guitar the other day. I told her she needed to learn a super easy beginner level song, and ofc i chose eruption. She said it (in her words exaclty) “sounds like broken violin.” I have never wanted to disinherit anybody more.
For the best battles are those that there's a backing track and which player plays his own phrases and licks. I'm not saying they're not god, they're awesome, but I'd like to see them in a backing track contest...
@Carlos D. True that bro, backing track shows real talent. Anybody can wow an audience with a few fast licks but managing to do that in time to a track with your own unique phrasing is something else
Dude on the left just played Kerry king solos, holy wars and eruption , middle dude just played Kirk Hammett licks and grunge and dude on right well he won
>Guy on left "what was that, that was the worst guitar playing I've ever heard" >also guy on left, proceeds to play the actual worst guitar playing ever heard
The kid with long hair definitely not only has a great technique but it comes out very clear and pronounced without any interference of the other strings and for sure is far superior in my opinion. He needs to be in a band like yesterday 👍🏻
The kid in the red shirt could’ve actually been the best one if he knew how to put guitar scales together to make an actual solo, the middle kid has feel which is very important but the long haired kid is definitely the best bc he’s knows when to pull back and when to go full blast
@deut3ron10: that’s a nice way to look at it-they’re all to be commended for just doing this-I guess most of the guitarists here are just being honest and cutting straight to "the chase", no BS, and the other two replies that preceded mine are both correct. At least in my 53 year old opinion they are. He’s humble and he’s probably got some incredible chops that he didn’t play here. He’s obviously in a different league than his two friends…BUT, KUDOS to ALL THREE of them, I hope they continue to play for the rest of their lives, they’ll only continue to improve on their own. Thanks to whoever posted this, and thanks to these 3 young guitarists. Fun video!
I like to see all these haters get their ass up there and play half as well. Haters are obviously average Joes, and J-O-E stands for Jealous Ones Envy.
This is why they’re all awesome. Left. Awesome chops and entertains the whole room with how much fun he’s having. Put him with a charismatic lead vocal and watch the chemistry encapsulate any crowd. Middle. Humble blues based shredder that takes chances and succeeds. In the right group, he’d be a secret weapon that would raise the brow of any live music fan. Right. A true metal talent. Has trained with the best of them and his proficiency melts faces in ways some can’t fully fathom unless the metal is in their soul. That’s just me! Yall brought down the house.
lol, don't know if you have any logistical thinking skills but if you pay attention there was very little prep time in this performance- no soundcheck at all. you can see us setting up as the fellow is talking.
How would logistical thinking skill help someone divine what the prep time involved in this set up was? most guitar players I know, know their sound. Essentially the "tone" he used was something he was obviously happy with before this performance. Not the best choice.
John Hawthorn it's a little fucking 10 watt peavey practice amp turned all the way up in an auditorium... it's obviously not going to sound the greatest.
Left: Megadeth solos with 3/4 of the notes Middle: Blues/90s-2000s rock solos Right: Actually took the time to learn how to play All three: better than most because they got up in front of people to play
Way to go guys. All 3 of you are the winner...Remember...to be supportive of each other. It's not about whose best. What's best..its a journey of self expression...each pkayer has something to say ..find your voice .your style, your sound and keep jamming. ..Loved watching this. ..you ALL won.
This is literally a guitar battle of these rock legends from left to right 1. (I have no comparison for who he looks like) 2. Eric Clapton 3. Dave Mustaine (Circa 2016) If we were going off how they play, it would look something like this (yet again, left to right) 1. Every beginner guitarist 2. Kirk Hammett 3. Randy Rhoads
The guy on right played like he knew what he was doing. I give the other two guys credit for trying, and I would like 2 smack the audience for showing favoritism over talent.
Saw several comments saying the dude on the left was the best of the 3. IMO the dude on the right won without a doubt. You can tell just by looking at how smoothly and effortlessly he played. He knew what he was doing and was confident doing it. What stuck out has bad was when the guy with the red shirt interrutped his friends turn with a "kick" (I know it was just fooling around but u don't interrupt someone when they're performing like that)
Guy with Flying V wins because he was the more technically proficient player of the three. Blond guy in the middle wins because he's the best looking of the three. Guy on left wins because he has the best flannel shirt of the three.
On the right we have an humble EVH like player, in the middle we have a pretty darn good player who is bullied for being “bad”, and on the left we have a huge ego Chad Kroeger who judges other people for “sucking” rather than actually practicing
guy in the middle just doesn't have an overpowering amp. Mike it and run it through a PA and he would sound 100 times better. middle guy definitely has licks and skill. right haired guy has nice technical tight phrasing. shorts guy lost my respect when he dogged middle guy.
@@aaronanderson9224 your welcome bro-4 years later. Your welcome. I hope shorts guy learned to be a little more humble and gracious. Whammy dives and harmonic pins are cool and all- but just "tricks". Musical masturbation as I like to call it. Your probably an allright guy shorts guy. Just be humble. Lift your peeps up. Dont cut on them
When there’s a guitar competition and a dude with hair and a Flying V comes out everyone should just pack up! Lol. Great job and glad to see metal/rock n roll guitar is still alive
MoxxiOmegle haha ikr, the guy on the right would shred and middle would be ok, but guy on the left would fuck up big time. His hammer one and string bends wouldn't exist
the long haired guy has already beaten them by a storm and they make fun of him. Dude has a Fender and shreds the best. Red is unoriginal and just tries tho be flashy by playing Holy Wars. Middle guy is trying to be Kirk Hammett with that wah
Alex Asves you're just talking shit about fellow guitarists, it's just a talent show... we are all doing the same thing, some have been playing longer than others and are better than others. I'm telling you to quit talking shit.
@@johnnybrown9581 I HAVE one it SO bad for recording lol but for live ITS Sick but for recording you can hear so much treble no matter how low I put it
I have the mustang LT25, the tone is not great for all the Hendrix stuff that i like to play as the fuzz is more like crunch and it just sounds crap so I’m probably gonna either buy a vox ac30 or Marshall origin 20w head and cab, but the LT25 is generally great, I can get a brilliant clean-breaking up Jimmy Page tone, a fantastic pink floyd tone and stuff, its very rarely cranked but when it is it sounds great, but my pickups fail so i just ordered a set of custom shop 69s to put in by bullet strat
I think they did great being in front of everyone like that; Mainly I'm just so happy to see young people interested in rock/metal and taking time to learn to play. The shit I have to listen to when my kids are in the car kills me, but I'm getting my daughter over to the dark side a little bit at a time. She started humming to Bark at the Moon when I was playing it one time, so I know the repetition helped the song's melody to sink in. (big Jake E Lee fan)
@@eroticblack Just happened to click on this video (again, apparently) & noticed my own comment, along with a reply. So I thought I'd say thanks for your reply, as well as sorry for taking two years to do it. I might as well mention that short of traveling to Sweden for a major surgical procedure, I couldn't be a good dad if I tried. That's because I'm their mom. They did have a great dad too but my husband passed away from cancer a couple years ago. No worries; just finding humor in the mix-up. Though I am beginning to feel a bit self-conscious now, as I've had two other replies where it seemed they assumed I'm a dude. Nothing rude, nice comments just like yours but it does make me wonder what I'm doing wrong...
Andrew Chapman I'm sure The Dooo could woop anyone's ass in a guitar battle. I mean he smoked the headless horseman and paid the price, but he is still the best.
The left and middle guy were sloppy, mindlessly shredding, and playing other people’s shit. The guy on the right had way better style, technique, tone, and overall playing ability
That..was freaking awesome...I know grown men...can't come closed to that..💯❤ ...I know I'll see all three of them... in the future...most definitely..can win any talent show. Keep it 💯
Son Goku he played it to save himself because he was shit. So he just bust that easy ass solo out and everyone loved it just because it sounds really cool but it’s a pretty easy thing to play i learnt it only after almost a year of playing because I found out how easy tapping was so it was the first “cool” guitar thing I learned. Yep I can tap like em all.its easy.
Something about a V body holds great power they’re like a guitar you earn in life in my opinion. A special feeling comes with owning one. And he expresses that greatly for his age
