hahaha we have a one floor ranch so the kitchen is on the opposite side as all the bedrooms - so I can crank the coffee grinder and run my mouth without getting into too much trouble 😂
Timing is perfect for me on this one. I am watching while prepping for my 6am Long run, 27k which will be over 3hrs for me, which is my longest run ever, pouring rain outside and anxious about what can go wrong. Thanks for the great video, can't wait to see you smash your upcoming Marathon!
LOVE THE VIBES IN THIS VIDEO!!!!! I like how it showed you are a "real runner nerd" just like me🤣Also love the dedication! btw I feel like if you get 7-8 hours of sleep everyday, you will be FLYINGG!
Super impressive! Excellent video. I’m 60 and used to train like that. Yesterday I was on the track but can’t hold your cruising paces for more than 200 meters ;-)
Great run, man! Re: the forefoot experience, that bit of orange foam on top of the white is where they put the Powerun HG (same supercritical PEBA as in the Endorphin Elite) on top of the regular Powerun PB. That would explain the extra oomf you feel.
Fantastic review again, appreciate the input. Fantastic going on the run, especially with the ridiculous elevation, thx again boss, epic hour to spend with you here man🔥👊
You're a hardcore mtf 🔥🔥🔥🔥 And I mean that in a very positive and strong way 🙌👍😊 You're teaching through hard work someone can reach greater heights and become an even stronger version of themself 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Let's rock it dude I love to watch your videos everyday and I can feel your energy through your videos very much 😊🙌
Loving the content man! Enjoying especially the longer form vids. Quick jacket rec: I got the Asics Accelerate waterproof 2.0 rain jacket on sale and it's great! Perfect for rain/snow here in the northeast. Cheers
Awesome review, I’m looking forward to running in my pro 4s, wanted to use them for the upcoming United half but I overworked my ankle by doing the most while ice skating with my little one last week so.. I’ll be running with my speed 4s instead 😭 lol. Also a milk frother is indeed life changing! It’s the only way to be 😂.
I watched part of this as I was having breakfast before my run this morning. You inspired me to do my first ever solo half marathon; not close to your pace but I got the miles. Doing 26.2 under 3 hours in the rain is crazy. Also, your left Achilles Heel is your Achilles Heel? I can't not point that out. :)
Thanks for the video, you got me thinking about the heel thing. I'm going to do a marathon in September where the last 13 km are downhill, so I don't know if the pro 4 is the right one. I weigh 138 pounds and my marathon goal is 3:19 hours. Thanks for your point of view on this.
I typically don’t wear a rain jacket and I live outside Seattle, so do a fair amount of running in the rain. If it was absolutely pouring, I’ve got the Janji Rainrunner (haven’t had a reason to wear yet) and a jacket from Soar, which I also haven’t worn yet. Soar is the best technical apparel in the world imo. Pricey but 15 out of 10 quality.
Nice thank you for the rec! I ended up ditching the jacket pretty early on since it was decently warm but it's a nice to have for torrential rain when it's cold
Thanks for the vid! In my opinion the ultimate running rain jacket is the Salomon S/lab GTX Shakedry v2 jacket. I think they don't make them anymore and they are way too expensive, but if you can find a deal on one...
Hahaha these things are not my favorite - my comparison is rotten melted marshmallow 😂 but honestly after doing months of fruity gels I don't mind the tamer flavor of these
@@supwell I tried the Precision Fuel unflavoured gel. Minor sugary taste but way better viscosity. The only trick is you need to get your sodium elsewhere.
I wish they would do the foam up the side of the heel just a bit for some stability. I know some do and some dont like it. Being a size 14 not everyone even makes size then i get picky.😂
Took the speed 4 through some paces yesterday. Ran 543 last mile in mud and it seemed to just want to go. Not sure why it wouldn’t seem like it could get going for you under 620 effort
Forefoot bottom-out? The Endorphin Speed are very comfortable but the forefoot feels like it's about to bottom-out when new; so I couldn't commit to buying them. I know you commented the same sensation with the Speed in a review. Do you get any of that sensation in the Pro 4?
He said left side issues late on (after 20 miles) but noted that he has a degree bio mechanical instability that side. Stated Brooks/Diadora he didn’t experience such sensations.
One of the softest marathon racers I've tried (super comfortable) but the stability was much better than expected! Felt stable for most of the run. As Michael said I had some issues with the left side but prob due to my own form
I did a 10 mile recovery run on the treadmill this morning - I like getting in an hour to 90 minutes super relaxed after long runs to get the blood moving and keep the aerobic fitness going. After races where I'm trying to PR/put out a peak performance I always plan to take the next day off though
Ya...going the full distance in training, let alone this close to race day, is not ideal. The level of fatigue will impact the quality of your upcoming training. Then there is the wear and tear that simply going that far induces on the body....throw in a significant level of intensity and the risk vs reward is way too out of whack. I hope you have no negative impact, other than having to take a significant cutback week. Doing the high week to week volume is the simulation that allows you to run shorter long runs on tired legs and get the equivalent training effect. Wishing you the best!
wrt your COROS running fitness score, there are a couple of things that may be relevant. First, only outdoor runs are included in the eval, so none of your treadmill miles factor in, and second, I wonder about the impact of all your stroller runs. They're going to give COROS a lot of data with higher HR and slower pace than non-stroller runs, and that could make the algorithm think you're less fit than you really are.
I don't do anything consistently for post-run footcare but when my feet are feeling super beat up I'll do a warm soak with some cbd bath powder. I also focus on preventing any issues - I try not to run in too many narrow shoes which is the main thing which hurts my feet. And even before I started testing a lot of shoes made sure to keep a rotation of a few pairs and retire shoes before the foam completely gave out. I also am always wearing my recovery slides when I'm not running 😂
Your contents are getting shorter and shorter... Just kidding. I like your content but way too lengthy in my opinion. Would be nice to have shorter versions of the same content below 20 mins.
Agreed. 25%-30% of this is good stuff. Rest is Skipable. We like you brother. Just keep em to 8-12 Minutes. Less time editing and more time with the family.
