a closer parallel to Kaeya than Yae Miko is Kamisato Ayato: both are noblemen who hold High Ranks in the running of state affairs, with misleading titles for the work they're ACTUALLY doing. Kaeya is "Cavalry Captain" despite not captaining Mondstadt's Cavalry, who are all off with Varka & Kaeya's never so much as MENTIONING horses at all; Ayato is the official Head of Inazuma's "cultural affairs & festivities" (a role actually performed by Ayaka & Thoma) but his REAL efforts are in interclan politics & leading the Shuumatsuban. Rather than either men or Yae Miko, I suspect Yelan is to Liyue what Rosaria is to Mondstadt: a field agent who deals in intelligence gathering, monitering threats, Eliminating problems, liasing between the Qixing and those operating in the darker shades of grey in Liyue. (Yae Miko is both Inazuma's "Barbara" (public face of the state religion) AND its "Ganyu" (resident supervisory adeptus/yōkai) though she serves a similar role of Unofficial Second-in-Command & Confidant as that of Lisa's to Jean.) ofc, this would mean that we've been getting back-to-back releases of Special Ops characters from 2.6's Ayato, 2.7's Yelan & Kuki (called "Shinobu" but unlikely to be an ACTUAL spy or assassin, given what we've seen of Itto's "Gang"), then 2.8's Heizou (he's a private detective who also works with the Tenryou Commission, unsure whether he's actually going to be the Shadow Type or more of a "Detective Conan").

Personally I think her stewardship in the tea house is more of a cover... she sounds more like an agent. A Spy. Specially since Ningguang relies on her heavily. It wouldn't be the first time. Last Lantern Rite, Zhongli walks around Liyue and through his words we discover some interesting hints. For instance, he makes it clear that the Inn on the way to Liyue Harbour is convinientely strategically placed where a guard could survey the areas where gods had perished and keep the area in check. Add that in commisions there reveal things that don't make since like a Mondstadt'er that no one knows, a fighter turn cook and a lazy fisherman who's strong enough to one shot a Ruin Hunter.... Well, maybe this is what Yelan is... a VERY efficent agent

I think .. beidou and yelan both collect intel and share it to ningguang Cuz in latern rite beidou was the one who informed her about osial's wife revenge... meand beidou also gives intel about inazuma Yelan is a secret agent of her

I think The reason why she likes yelan and beidou because they gave her best information and they are even smart too.. (apart from ship) Like in the latern rite , beidou told her that osial's wife coming for revenge ... i think she gives important info about inzauma too And this is the reason why being the holder and manager of laws ... she actually keeps exceptions for yelan and beidou

It would even make more sense for him to say “Oh, you’re the famous doctor Baizhu” because everyone in Liyue knows about Baizhu. Makes me to believe Baizhu really is the dendro archon, because Zhongli acted like he didn’t know him while the Fatui were evasdropping on them

its better that she is a 4s, constellations are way better than a bit of stat boost (most catalysts have low base anyways and she already ascends with dmg% so increase would be very small) 4s c6 ning over 5s stats but c0 tbh

She was supposed to be 5 star like Barbara, but later got changed to 4 star and of course, nerfed gameplay wise

@@Takeimika dont know if xingqiu looks underage for the people of teyvat, but people consider the traveler to be underaged (thousands of years old of course) while xingqiu looks the same age (at least to us) so i dont think its that far off

@@Takeimika mainland china only allows persons 18+ to buy alcohol: as an Outlander with no ID, Traveler fails to meet legal requirements. there are fines for depicting underaged/unclearly aged persons purchasing or drinking alcohol: it's a reasonable assumption that Xingqiu, regardless of his actual age, would get Carded like Traveler does.

Xingqiu has no confirmed age. The reason the MC doesnt drink is because that would make the game rating higher

@@Sample-Text. i think the only characters with CONFIRMED age ranges are: the ones shown drunk or mention drinking (Lisa, Eula, Kaeya, Beidou, Thoma, Ayato, etc); the Archons thus far, Guoba & Ganyu are 5000+, Xiao is some thousands of years old, Guuji Yae is ~500; Albedo (& Yanfei?) are ~300; and Aloy was 16 in HZD, if i recall correctly, and thus that age or younger in Genshin. it's Assumed by a lot of the fandom that the Liyue Harbour Kids ARE "kids" (teens) because other characters they grew up together and are thusly of an age with EACH OTHER, and other characters (both NPC & playable) seem to treat them as "those youths". it is, indeed, unconfirmed: Time Passes Differently in Teyvat, it "Has Its Own Laws", and characters send yearly Birthday Messages despite in-game archon quests shortening how much CANONICAL time has passed for the characters in different regions (at least 2 years have passed in Liyue: no specified length of time has passed for Mondstadt nor Inazuma)... and "legal drinking ages" in China/South Korea/Japan/western countries THEMSELVES vary, as do their set ages for "adulthood": some countries let you buy alcohol or enlist in the military before they let you vote; insurance policies have their own age rankings... ...age and "legal adulthood" is, to me, a very fascinating topic because a person can be entrusted with Adult Privileges (voting, living alone, getting married) but not "legally" an adult OR be legally an "adult" but be disallowed from certain "adult activities", like buying alcohol or watching horror films unsupervised. the variation is more interesting to me than the characters' actual ages: Xiangling, Xingqiu & Chongyun are allowed to freely roam the wilderness unsupervised but Xingqiu has "not yet been called to act Officially as an heir of the Feiyun Commerce Guild" and Chongyun worries at whether he's required to address Shenhe as [aunt]; Diona can work as a bartender but considers Traveler as much a "Grown Up" as her customers. and then there's Genshin's yōkai & elf: are Itto and Sara considered Adult Humans but "young" for an onii and tengu? @@PrograError i don't think mihoyo would make it a gambling thing. since everyone in the game thinks traveler is a child, i highly doubt they'd be allowed to gamble anyway. I was thinking it could be like mahjong soul where there's nothing at steak. You just play and get points and person with the most points at the end wins.
