Most bass fisherman have struggled with hard to deploy and stow trolling motors, mainly due to shear weight, and lack of an assist mechanism. Elite Series pro John Crews shows us a nifty add-on device that reduces the weight of the trolling motor by around 50%. He also reveals a product that greatly reduces the vibration and shake given off by the trolling motor. Reduced shake certainly makes a bow mount more pleasant to operate, but likely translates into less spooked fish which means more bites.

Have had the elimanator nut on from day 1 ! Never had a issue with it works great ! Got rid of the rope ! And put a cable in their ! Bought a crimping tool and actually made it a little longer! Love it !

Actually underwater Sonic testing with a underwater microphone have shown that the turbo nut is not much quieter then the standard prop nut...

ThisTrolley motor is very easy to use , light weight, I would Definitely buy this again if needed , Motor is very dependable , I give it five stars

After seeing the scientific testing on the hydrowave it's benefits are negligible and in some cases it's worse than stock.

Upgraded from my 30# MK that maxed out at 3mph. This pushes my pelican pwr 100 at 4.5mph which is nuts since the pwr is a slow yak

The Eliminator nut is garbage. Just a gimmick. Its been proven not to work but these companies will push anything, because American Consumers love to just buy into new fancy gear. The little peices of plastic you have clamped to the trolling motor shaft to keep it from jumping around at high speed. Only thing I can say about that is if you had a Minn Kota you wouldnt have that problem. Those Equalize struts are a great add on though. They really do help reduce how much weight you are lifting which reducing Fatigue. I didnt buy the G force shocks though. They cost way to much for gas struts. $104 bucks for gas struts.....No thank you. Purchase gas struts online for 12 bucks each and purchased ball studs to mount the struts on amazon. I spent 35 bucks to do the exact same thing with the exact same results. Worked great at less than half the price of the G-force equalizer.

Exactly, if that nut makes so much difference, manufactures should have no reason not to include it from the factory.

Watched a video about the prop nut you talked about and guy tested with and without using hydrowave underwater mic and it didn’t show any real advantage in sounds. Maybe in vibration as you say but I would think vibration and sound kinda go hand and hand in the water. So I guess I’ll keep my $60 and buy some fishing line instead.

I honestly haven’t noticed a reduction in vibration..... what i do like about it is that I don’t have to break out a socket wrench if i need to clean line out of by motor.

As for vibration and effecting fish? They know you're there....regardless. I have flipped SLOBS from the brush right under my spinning motor thinking that my braid was in the prop only to realize it was fish hammering my bait! Tune your prop and you're doing yourself and your motor bearings a true solid that a pretty prop nut really doesn't accomplish.

I know this is an older vid….. but to add to the convo for those reviewing in present day, these type of nuts add a potential major problem. If you were to ever bust your shear pin, there is no way to get the prop off, as you cannot access the screwdriver slot on the shaft to hold the shaft in place to twist off the nut. You would need to cut the prop off to get the shaft to hold it, to then get the nut off.

how to mod the cheap chinese one though its mounting bracket sucks and it doesnt have a pull thing. i have to grab the motor at the head and pull it up its annoying. the nut i dont really need at least not yet i mainly pulling up trotlines so the noise/vibrations isnt really messing with what im doing. the big bass will still shy away with that nut though. the best is to be stealthy if you want the hogs. no noise period. maybe a paddle only.

@@deckmonkey1459 Thanks for the strong reply to the insult king wanna be. I'm 71 and do not believe that having a bit of trouble raising a motor out of the water should keep me from fishing. My dad died with a pole in his hand! True story. He was coming away from the lake, not going to, so he came from heaven and went to heaven... a fairly short trip.
