Great Video. I too have a RNC 1773 Compressor, ART Pro VLA II compressor and I have a Warm Audio Bus Compressor. I do like the WA Bus compressor on my Mix Bus, and I use the RNC 1773 and the ART PRO VLA II for Bus Compression and individual Instrument and vocal compression. 👍👍
Really shocked at the tcs. Kinda want one now. I use a warm audio bus comp on the master bus and the chameleon labs 7721 on my drum bus but i think this one is kinda wide and gentler and could be good for bus duties on other busses for me.
I like the TCS for a lot of things. I will use the VCA side on drums sometimes. I have used it for bass as well. They stopped making the TCS around 10 years ago and I had no idea why they weren't more popular. I had always wanted one when they came out and searched for a year to find my first one. Then a few months later, a second one showed up so I grabbed it too. It's very useful having 4 channels of it and for $150, I cannot complain at all.
I've had my RNC for more than 15 years and it's a very useful and versatile compressor. You hear it in all my videos as it's always on my voice mic. It's also great on the master bus.
I have a video about how I make videos with analog gear but it is a few years old now. It's not as easy as a screen capture video with plugins and takes quite a bit longer. I may try to make an updated video about it as time allows. Thanks so much!
