I commented about the need for updated resource material about the Dangerous Source from the company, and received the response below------I should have done more homework before posting my comment, actually the support is pretty incredible, and more than the majority of companies offer. You can speak to someone, get diagrams/.pdf's, or even a video conference----lots of support, via multiple options. So that was my bad. Dangerous makes killer gear, been a fan for a long time, can't wait to add the Source to control my monitor setup!!!!

Yes, you would use the analog outs from the 003 to feed the first 8 of the LT inputs, and the ART to feed the second 8. Go to our website for diagrams that might help

Correct. I wouldn't worry about delay with the ADAT, it is usually pretty negligible.

Great gear, could use some updated tutorials, ten years is a long time. Searched, could find very little from Dangerous in general gear-wise, surprising these days for such a large company.

Thank you very much for your response, and I was unaware of some of the information you've shared in your comments. I ordered the Source on Sunday to complete my summing mix setup, but just felt that all the videos on the device were around ten years old. Maybe there have been no changes, so no need for updated tutorial videos? Again, I appreciate your response and I will be reaching out to avail myself of these resources, and probably be contacting support to set up the new gear.

I need this type of demo with the monitor ST.. db25 snakes usually don’t spectate far enough to reach left and right monitors.

Hey guys, I am pretty happy with this unit soundwise, but I am really missing a wordclock input. So I have 2 suggestions for future versions: 1) Wordclock in for the USB DAC 2) an iPod connector at the front of the 19" faceplate that connects to the rear connector if the unit is rackmounted

Great ! Thank you.! And one other thing, to route 8 other channels from 003 to 2-BUs LT via ART using ADAT, will it cause some delay? Since the main 8 channels straight from 003 to 2-BUS LT and the other 8 channels will be from 003 ADAT out to ART ADAT In and then ART Bal TRS out to 2-BUS LT. Thanks

Hello How Can I hook dangerous d-box to Lynx Aurora 8 the Lynx Aurora to my Computer? what is the better connection to mt computer?

Hopefully you are still monitoring this thread. I have a hard time following the signal path from the computer. Is my digital out from the computer going into your lynx Aurora directly or to "the source" first and then into the Lynx Aurora? I am looking to buy the Lynx aurora 16 and dangerous 2 buslt, and trying to figure out if I need the source as well. I will be getting the Lynx aurora 16 with the thunderbolt connection option, or at least was planning to. Would this change if I decided to go with getting the source also? again, my biggest confusion here is I did not follow how your signal is leaving the computer and into which box is it going to first, the source or the Lynx Aurora? My interpretation is that everything flows through the source and it kind of serves as a selector switch.

Hey Justin, I understand the confusion. In this case the signal is getting from the computer to the Lynx via a PCI card, but thunderbolt would work the same way. The Source is necessary either way because it is a monitor controller, and you need one of those no matter what you are doing. If you still have questions email us- support at dangerousmusic dot com

Would it not benefit me then to buy a Source if I have an SSL Alpha link MX since the only digital output it has is Madi which connects to my pcie?

It would definitely benefit you because you can use the USB input of the Source instead of the AES input. Just connect USB out of the computer into the USB in of the Source and you have a digital path.

But I thought In the video you say that PC's can't use multiple audio interfaces if your main interface is running PCIE?

one quick question! would you recommend someone the Yahama ns 10's as someone's main monitors?

Sophia Rhodes That is a tough question to answer. There are people who swear by NS-10's as their main monitors, others who use them only as a second reference, and others who hate them altogether. Everyone has a different opinion on them, so I would say try it and see how it works for you.

@sophi flores what dangerous music has said its true.in the video u can see behind mike there are ns 10 and focal monitors.i use both of them and according to my project and compositions same mix sound different in these 2 different monitors.FILM BACKGROUND SCORE SOME TIMES SOUND SUPERB IN NS10 but UK URBUN HIPHOP SOUNDS RUBBISH IN NS10 again...on top Depend how your studio acoustic is done ...another solution is to make decision is go to instrument shop and play your own mix in all monitor in shop like genelec focal adams ns 10. Hs series. Se egg monitor.it will help you to make decision.

Right now i Have an Audio Digi 003 (has 8 Balance TRS Out and ADAT in/out) and ART TubeOpto (Has 8 Balance TRS Out and ADAT in/out) . Do you think it possible to route them to 2-BUS LT ? Thank you for your help

The Aurora connects to the computer depending on which Aurora is chosen. Currently they are able to connect via USB, Thunderbolt™, Pro Tools HD and Dante.

Hi I have the symphony I/O with 8 card I/O 8 ADAT and 1 stereo Spdif . I am also using the Mackie Big Knob for monitoring my Speakers it does not have a digital output can i still use the 2 Bus LT in my system if yes how can i connected it without the digital connection
