Thank you so much Kenneth! Ahoy from Drake, Mo and Eanna aboard Paragon in St. John's, Newfoundland. We pushed off from North Carolina on March 15th, and have sailed to several places, including Norfolk, Atlantic City, New York City, Newport, Boston, Gloucester, and Lunenberg, NS. We will sail on to Greenland next. I hope the wait is going to be worth it - Starting in January 2014, we'll publish 2 episodes per week, and hopefully there will never be another week without a new episode!
Hi Therewillbehelltopay, and welcome aboard! :) Eric's just amazing - he's sailed Fiona over 250,000 nautical miles, in all climates and weather, around the world twice, east to west, west to east, through the Northwest Passage, down to South Georgia and even to a few remote places that only a few boats have ever visited.. I hope you enjoy our little documentary. Also, have you seen his videos on his youtube channel yachtfiona? His channel is a 'featured' channel on my channel page.
Hi carbidegrd1, Thank you! Yes, absolutely, loud and clear. My girlfriend Monique tells me the same thing all the time, and I am getting better at it, as I hope you'll see in the more recent vids. I really appreciate the feedback! Happy sailing, Drake
Hi GeneralCange, Or try every time he says 'cleat' in the Hurricane Irene video.. :) I've been paying more attention to not saying 'um' since this video was made back in the early days.
I find this fascinating. I said wow, this boat is perfect. Then my girlfriend "an interior designer" had other comments. I know now that we will never do a long passage together. And did you say run around the 7 min mark! How can I be a crew?
Hi Cecilia, I'm really happy to hear from previous owners of Paragon! I bought her from that British couple in North Carolina in 2007. We're in North Carolina. I just sent you an email with my contact info to your youtube account. Please let me know if you received it or not... Happy sailing!
+王姚 - Hi 王姚 , Thanks for your question. Yes, on Fiona there are 2 single berths, one on each side, and each with a lee cloth that stops you from falling out of bed when boat heels at sea. I modified our boat Paragon by putting a wooden board across the centre so that I could put in a double size bed. Here's a link to the brochure for the Westsail 42 which has a drawing which shows the standard factory layout. drive.google.com/file/d/0BxGyXPoQHF7oN2YwY2I5ZmYtYTI3Ni00NDE1LTkwNTQtOWI0ODZjMWNhNmI0/view
+Lasse Särnhult Hi Lassee,It's interesting that once you start filming yourself you realize all of the little quirks you have while speaking. It's not such a big deal in a single conversation, but on film it doesn't quite always work. I'm still working on it. Mo is always telling me not to say 'um' and 'wow' all the time. Thanks for the honest critique and I'm really glad you're enjoying the videos.
I know It is so easy to give a hum or hu Drake I was just teasing you :D Where are you now! I miss you videos- Take a trip to Sweden and I will buy you a drink or two. The west coast is really nice with thousands of island you can land by an d visit Gothenburg the end of Volvo Ocean race. Take care and give my regards to you first mate!!
Hi Tony, This was filmed in 2011, and was a part of our very first boat tour/interview series - hard to believe it been 7 years since then! We've interviewed dozens of other cruisers since, and I hope you'll enjoy watching them. Check out our latest to see how far we've come in production quality. :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0SaXtseHnac.html
