Im a builder also, u really inspire me the way ur boxes come out. First time ive ever said this to any builder but Your boxes make me jealous! I love the work, guess i got some more talent to learn, thanks for posting what you do
730.00 for that enclosure? I would have never ever thought it would cost that? I didn’t think a grand would touch it. That’s a beautiful piece of work right there. I’d definitely gladly pay for something of that quality. Gonna check out the website.
I had two 12” Mesos in similar box the v2 series Mesos , and they banged sounded great as well Definately sone killer subs and work very well in kerfed enclosures!
Do ya ever do any basic enclosures? Like a ‘94 gmc sierra ext cab. 4 Ct sounds 6.5s. I’m wanting to attempt this build but I’m unfamiliar with the statistics of sub enclosure design. Ie. port size & certain dimensions for optimal output.
Brother what a BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF ART WORK!!! I like this video but just never commented on it SORRY BROTHER!!!! 1728!! 🤜🤛🫶🤗😎 I LOVE your build, how to, livestream video's and I'm SOOOOOO GLAD THAT YOU ARE BACK in your new place and I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS on your new place and I'm REALLY EXCITED to see what you do since your back. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO AND I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU MAKE!!! WELCOME BACK BROTHER!!! 1728!! ❤🫶🤗🤜🤛😎😊
Wow Just searched for Meso 3 way component and found this video… Love yours work and because of this video I subbed to ya! Is this box offered on your site? I just picked up 2 12 Meso subs
Love the build can you build a Sundown Audio X v.2 12 subwoofer I have 2 that will run off a Salt-4 that I want to put into a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse LT AWD
@@CustomLowzVids Yep yep 👊🏾. I purchase two meso 6.5's. So I'm doing a lot of research on the types of boxes. I thought they might be pretty good for heavy metal and techno kind of music or something. So that's kind of when I'm going to build them for. Because I do listen to a lot of that type of music and I already have a tropo 12 in for my lows If I ever want to swap them out.
I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado 4 door I put a 2 inch lift kit on back seat I put in 2 12vls L7 the box I have rite now I don’t like the way it sounds wat kind of custom box can u make to make it bump like it should?
Yes his boxes look very nice Poplar which I love to work with is a very light softer wood with a more faint grain conditioner or pre-stain really only works in the instance u are staining and when ur working with woods like pine, birch, maple or oak where u won’t the grain and colors to blend more evenly the conditioner also shows any imperfections u might see when u stain and poly is does protect the wood from moisture and seal it up nicely protect the stain and finish it off but gives it a glossy look...
The box recommendations for this sub is 1.5cf for each sub which seems small to me for 12s. What’s your thoughts on going off of those recommended specs?
The people that design the speakers are usually really close or right on the mark. Especially if you buy a USA made subwoofer. Not knocking other brands
@@RTM459 That depends on what you want. I'm yet to see a subwoofer with a recommended box I would build. Then again, I want it to sound good and it doesn't need to handle kilowatts of power.
@@CustomLowzVids bro your work is awesome I am definitely going to be hollering at you very soon for a box it's obvious that you are very talented I'm right here in Cookeville is there any way I can get with you sometime soon and explain kinda what I'm wanting for the design and get a quote I have been looking for someone local for over a year I had no idea I had an expert box builder right down the road from me
You do outstanding work, but car audio fabrication will design a box for car specific and Send you the blueprints for way less than what you’re asking for.
Are you comparing CAF design cost to CustomLowz fabrication + design cost? That comparison doesn’t make sense, CAF design and fabrication would cost more than this. Not to mention CAF premade blueprints are $85 and CustomLowz is $10-$25.
They take VERY little actual volume. Are there better options, sure. But I’m gonna follow the many builders who have more knowledge than myself who still use this technique. For me, it’s more of an aesthetic thing. I think a 1” dowel going both ways center might be a better option, with potentially less volume. But, I don’t think it looks as “nice” and that’s important to me. Now. I think in cases of a window brace, with a cross member going both ways centered to creat like a 4 panel window shape, would be a stronger option than most and still take up very little volume. If you have a better solution, I’d love to hear your option.
@@CustomLowzVids In a big enclosure they don't take a lot of space, that's true. Also agreed on dowels being ugly. I'm building an enclosure myself and visual side is definitely important to me too. I can totally relate to not putting dowels in an enclosure with windows. 4 panel window is a strong option for sure. I would personally do diamond shape, like a window rotated 45 degrees. Or maybe a stylized cross. Sort of the 4 panel window style but without the outer window.
