2 Days in Ho Chi Minh City on a Budget 

I like food origin stories. Here's a few I've picked up over the years: Chicken tikka masala - chicken tikka was already well established as a dish, grilled meat with a dry spice rub, as was masala sauce, in other dishes, but one day in a Curry House in Glasgow, a patron asked for some 'gravy' as his dish was too dry, and chicken tikka masala was born. Curry wurst - credited with being created in Berlin in 1949, Herta Heuwer used curry powder from British Army rations, and mixed with tomato ketchup and put the resultant sauce over grilled sausage. It remains one of the most popular dishes in Germany to this day. Mulligatawny soup - originally a simple broth in South India, during the British rule, a request to have soup as a first course for dinner, the Indian cooks took what they had that was closest to soup and added some additional ingredients, and mulligatawny soup was created.

When you where on Nguyen Hue thats actually the City Hall the famous post office is 10-15 from there..... That Banh Mi looked good never tried that one yet. Coconut coffee is so good!!

You guys really need to stay in the place in District 1 (~25 minutes into the video) during Tet. We were there in 2023, but one street over. This is the place to be during Tet. The party by the water is a sight to behold.

Hello Adam and Sai ! In this video @16:27 it’s actually the (french built city hall building) people’s committee of hcm building. The post office you mentioned is very nearby a few streets to the right. You enjoyed coffee inside the Letter cafe @25:30 the tall building in view is new Bitexco financial building(old bitexco was nearby) Hey! you saved 1-2K not using the elevator 😂 Enjoy Saigon ❤️❤️❤️

In any Asian country you will pay at least double for everything especially the hotel Always try to travel with a local if you can and let them pay for everything first

The most cost effective way from the airport to the city is the bus or a scooter...the taxi is the most expensive

Well it wouldn't be a good video unless Sai was eating and this video was very informative about Nam . The sandwiches and coffee are very good there as well in the states . Very congested with traffic it seems and the music appeared to be loud, great video Adam and we didn't see a swim scene or Sai in one of her bikini's.

Me and my wife spent a month in Vietnam, unfortunately we hated it, that same taxi ride you had cost us 45 dollars on arrival in ho chi min, we’d just landed and we’re tired and new to the Vietnamese dong, on the third day we booked an organised tour and we’re ripped off again, but this time he admitted it by telling us we should pay whatever we’re told because we’re loaded in England😮£43 for candy which came in a box weighing 20lb, we only ordered 8 bars. The biggest problem for us was the rat infestation, they were everywhere’ made worse by all the shops and restaurants tipping all their waste on wasteland. My holidays are in winter so Asia is always our choice, but we absolutely love Thailand and love all your videos, please keep making them❤️

How much is that budget hotel? I m going to vietnam next month on budget trip. Thanks.
