Great lesson, so many RU-vid teachers spend half the lesson showing off and then go through some vague description of what they’ve done. Yours is nice and clear, especially with the on-screen tab. Just need to practice it now! Many thanks 😎
@@Damianblf lesson is GREAT, thanks so much! I can see the hard work you put into these. I'm still quite early in my own guitar journey -- a fiftysomething beginner, and I love it!! -- and rockabilly (especially our hero, the Legendary Brian Setzer) is one of the main reasons I was drawn to guitar in the first place. Your lessons are super helpful!
@@Damianblf Thanks Damian! Hey, would you be interested in collaborating sometime to cross-pollinate some of our viewers. I do Rockabilly and Jump Blues once in a while, but it's not my focus. I'd bet a bunch of my listeners would like your work! Let me know.
@@Damianblf Cool! I sent an email through your site. Maybe just reply to that or email me from markzabel.com and we'll get the ball rolling. Looking forward to it!
wow man, you change your style a lot. 12 years ago or 7 years when i saw your videos of rockabilly lessons from the burlison, setzer and gallup style. hahah brother i couldn t recognize you with all beard. excellent like past years :)
Thank you so much Damian, this is a great lesson. I picked the first one fairly quickly and my grandmother loved it as she listens to all the old big band stuff.
Damian your tuition videos are brilliant. I've been playing Rock { Zeppelin, Free, Bad Company etc.} for years, recently a bit of Country music too. I've been wanting to play some Rockabilly for a while as I'm also a Brian Setzer fan, but couldn't find those classic Rockabilly rhythms needed. I'm just not used to playing that style so I had no idea how to do it. You have just shown me them. Awesome ! As I have recently bought a Gretsch Streamliner G2420T once I have mastered these rhythms hopefully I can make it sing. Many thanks.
@@Damianblf you’re welcome mate , had great fun learning this . Really good vid and also it’s really easy to see what you’re doing . One of the clearest lesson videos I’ve seen
Hi Phil. I think any type of guitar pick that you feel comfortable with, should be the pick you use. I prefer celluloid guitar picks (medium .77mm). Keep on Rockin' DAMIAN
Hey Damian your enthusiasm and delivery are infectious, its a wonderful thing to see and view your lessons. Give my regards to Galen if you cross his path.....
Good lesson! Last year I bought your Ultimate rockabilly guitar DVDs. I enjoyed them and learnt interesting stuff. I like that now you include some theory (the chords we are playing). I value that a lot because I think its key. Thanks 👍🏻🎸
As usual excellent lesson Damian, very comprehensive. The second lesson reminds me of Matchbox by Carl Perkins! Keep those rockabilly lessons coming. Thank you my friend! Greetings from the Netherlands!
Damian Bacci! Great lesson for just getting back to basics even for intermediate players. Tell us about that Fender Tele. It's sharp looking and sounds great. No Bigsby?
3 things. First, thanks for the great lesson. Second, do you have listening suggestions of songs built on these rhythms? And third, more rhythm lessons please. :)
I still do every now and then, but there's very little gigs available around the area in our current situation. So currently nothing is booked. Keep on Rockin' DAMIAN
Very nice!! Thank you Damian for doing this lesson for us! It's very much appreciated. I love the way you communicate in such an upbeat and pleasant manner. That and how clear you explain things which makes the information easy to follow and understand. Your pace is also excellent. Never rushed.
