Thanks for this great analysis of A New Hope, my favourite out of all the Star Wars films. I never realized there was so much at stake in one film, which is probably why it is such a great story and the sense of satisfaction at the end is so enormous.
Should the three stakes be connected in a way, like deep down at their core? Or it doesn't matter at all if the stakes are all different themes from each other?
I feel like they should be in some way connected. A good story is something with a connecting factor to it. If it's all disconnected, it won't really feel satisfying to the audience.
