Every range i ever been to has rules that were strictly enforced

Odd that this range didn't take safety seriously. I've been asked to leave a range that I had been going to for years because of a minor safety violation. It was totally my fault, and I owned it but I still got told, "See ya next week."

thirteen years old my friend shot a gun 380auto at me after telling me to run . the bullet went next to my head and I'll never forget that sound of it whizzing by my ear.

So..where was the rounds coming from?

Hmm matching hats, progun Teeshirt, starting to think there’s a lot more to this story than meets the eye! Haven’t been to a single gun range that wasn’t super strict on safety (could happen I guess) but why would a business risk being shut down for not enforcing strict safety??

I'm guessing these guys live in that Artavia neighborhood being built right next to the gun range and are lying to get the gun range shut down.

when they didn't take your ID or sign a waiver.... turn around & leave. They showed you at the door they don't care about your life.

These neighbors that claim to have bullets hitting their houses all of the time.... why don't they call the police instead of the range owner? Why havent the police investagted ANY of the claims of houses getting hit by bullets? If they had been called, they would have arrested the person/people responsible for those bullets hitting the houses, and this news statiom would have a lot more than just this one news report about stray bullets occurring at this specific gun range hitting houses.

If you have a gun range that can't account for the live rounds being fired it's time to put them out of business.....no excuses

This story sounds strange. I have never been to a shooting facility that does not take things seriously. Likely a plan to try and get it shut down by locals. Sheriff called for a guy getting hit by a casing being ejected?? Really? I use to go to a range and some near by person claimed their house was hit. Problem was the direction that the bullet came from, that struck there home, was not in line with the range. Humm? After that they closed the range down to rifles. The website has a liability wavier and says you must show ID to get to enter and shoot. Entire story is suspect.

Sounds like the gunfire was coming from the neighborhood based on everything else stated by the reporter and the witnesses. Someone in the neighorhood may have decided to take their anger and frustation at the range owner out on the patrons. Why did these 2 guys not call the police to respond to the shooting, but stayed in the parking lot and calling only the owner of the range? Most people would call the police first, instead of sitting for 20 minutes in a parking lot arguing with the range owner while being shot at, and then getting law enforcement involved after the fact. The information being provided by these 2 guys, a lot is not adding up. Otherwise, the bullets would have been traveling horizontally across the stands where everyone was stationed, much much less than a few hundred yards away. They would see which person was shooting and everybody else there would have aimed their guns at that shooter. If necessary they would have taken the shooter out right then and there. The fact nobody was returning fire further insinuates the gunfire was coming from somewhere in the vicinity of the neighborhood, and nobody at the gunrange wanted to risk accidently hitting the wrong person returning fire. Common sense. The police can investigate and determine exactly what direction the bullets came from with pinpoint accuracy. Clearly it wasn't anyone on the property, or there would have been mention of police identifying and/or arresting the shooter and we would have their full name and mugshot already. I am curios to find out the result of the investigation. If it came from the neighborhood & it isn't reported on here, it will be on a Fox affiliated station when the facts of this incident are released to the news media. Also with no signed waivers, as these 2 guys claim, the gunrange can be held fully liable and financially responsible for it all, and can quickly and easily financially ruin the owner. Are there REALLY truly no signed waivers there, or are these 2 guys just saying so? I have yet to see ANY business where dangerous conditions exist that doesn't also cover themselves with waivers for participants to sign. If it was a member of the gunrange doing the shooting, The news station would have stated so, just like she stated so much information about the person who got a minor cosmetic burn injury by somehow hitting themself with the spent casing that ejects horizontally out to the side & away from the operator when the gun is being properly handled and used, instead of in the direction of the operator's face or body. Sounds like that person was maybe right hand dominant and trying to show off by shooting their right handed gun left handed, which would put their body in the path of the hot empty brass casing flying out of the ejector. A left handed person holding a left handed gun (with the ejection port on the left instead of the right) and holding it right handed would also have the same effect. Nothing close to the same as being shot AT by somebody else from way too far away to have been shooting from one of the stations.

Living on a golf course is no picnic, either.

Most Gun ranges are ridiculously strict. They will put you on blast if you don’t do something right… This joint is 🗑️

Embarrassment for a gun range, incidents like these just give the liberals more ground to stand on while they're trying to take away the 2nd amendment.

This doesn't pass the smell test on so many levels and if you only other incident at the range has been some idiot that hurt himself because he doesn't know how to shoot a weapon that's not on the gun range as their responsibility

I’ve never been on a lax range. Safety Officers were always on top of things. Stupid people do stupid things and sometimes get away with it, but that wasn’t business as usual.

Sorry but any range I've been to, if anyone yells "Cease Fire" you better stop shooting, not just workers at that range.

Robert Allen is right, something doesn’t make sense. If there was bullets flying everywhere, the first thing media would of done is shown pictures of bullet holes in the guys trucks, or house. It’s still possible.

Something just like this JUST happened to me. I think the illegal Mexicans working on building the house next door have some kind of tech that can make it sound like bullets flying passed you. I was literally ducking for cover it sounded like live rounds being shot right at me just like in the movies but there was no impact. The entire back lot is wilderness the only people nearby were the Mexicans. I know the cartels have high tech and I bet it would be very useful tool when sneaking into America. And if you say I’m racist for calling them illegal just know that I have worked construction with illegal aliens and the town I was in is very well known for having a lot of illegal workers…

Every time I've been there they've been very serious about safety and reminded me plenty of times to exercise safe practices

We got rounds hitting nearby homes! They need to shut down immediately! That's a direct threat to public safety! Call the city!!!

If a gun range had to shut down every time someone complained then a gun range would never open. They need to hire a range master and charge members more money

You never forget the sound of the Wizz flying close. Wow Glad they were safe . Shut them down if their there drinking and shooting next to a public place .LIKE A GRAVE YARD . A DRUNK AT A RANGE DECIDED TO CUT LOOSE .I had to duck and cover behind head stones .I know the feeling and sounds those kids experienced there. The ranges arnt all that safe even if your not there personally but close enough to be shot

This story is so weird. Unsafe gun range? Rounds coming from unknown locations? Rounds from the range landing on neighboring houses? I'm sorry but I call complete BS on this story.

The shots prolly came from the neighborhood. I could c bad azz kids shooting the neighborhood up because the gun range was right ther. They could just say “ it came from the range.”
