Good Stuff, just watched 3 of your videos while babysitting middle school kids in In-school suspension. LOL I'm a Health $ Physical Education teacher in Central PA, I coach Football and track, landscape from April -Nov, plow snow, and cut wood. My son and I bought a 2020 Polaris Ranger for 17k in FEB when Covid hit. My 70 year old neighbor was clearing out some tree lots on his farm and I started cutting, splitting and stacking for my back yard fire pit and to help him out labor wise. Then I said to my 14 year old son, lets sell some firewood to help pay for the Ranger, I cut and split from Feb to June. My neighbor had an old chicken coop, he says, why don't you stack in here, next thing you know a year later, I just sold my last cord yesterday. We sold 25 dump trailer loads, just shy of a full cord for $190 each. People are still contacting me and Im sold out, I have 5 cord cut awhile for next year, but "YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH FIREWOOD". I am addicted to cutting, splitting, and stacking wood. We will soon run out bc his lot is about half cleaned out. Thinking about contacting an old HS friend who owns a sawmill about 15 miles from my home. Would like to see what trash wood he has that I can make into $$$$$. Thanks again for your insight and information. Feel we are on the same page.

I have a fireplace and I like a good mixture of wood sizes. I work 5 days on and 5 days off. On my days off I like to burn a fire kinda for heat and kinda for fun. I like the big stuff for long burns and smaller stuff for my wife, I also like lots of 3-5” rounds they’re nice for packing the fireplace and shutting the doors before bed time.

Great videos! Very informative and great insight. I just had my 10 acre Pine forest logged this summer and am left with some massive slash piles with plenty of good firewood timber. I had a stand of Eucalyptus trees (blue gum) in the way of some of the pine so had the forestry contractor fell them and haul them up the hill next to my hay shed. All up I have about 15 Gum trees that were about 30 year old on the ground ready for splitting. I am struggling to cut efficiently as it is a hard wood. I thought it was my sharpening skills but when i cut the pine my chain cuts ok. Does any one have suggestion for the best chain type for cuttinghardwood? the logs are relatively clean of dirt so was considering going full chisel? . I am using a Husqvarna 572xp with a 24inch bar. I started selling 2 winters ago and looking at pushing myself and expanding the business. Great business advice many thanks from New Zealand!

I am in coastal sc. Selling firewood. My biggest problem is the summer heat and humidity. Cutting, splitting and stacking is a nightmare. I've tried canopies for shade, starting early ,later in the day and can only last an hour or two. In the spring, fall and winter i can go all day. Any recommendations how to beat the heat in the summertime?

Loving your videos, love bucking, splitting firewood myself. I split by hand and it's almost all maple syrup wood so 2". If I could start a small firewood business I would love that. In my area everyone sells wood so cheap though... doesn't help that all the ash are dead which makes up most of the wood for sale.
