@@Red_Rascal90 You simply have to get good at defeating Sally right as you initiate the secret phase. Weapons like Charge can deal a ton of damage at once, making it easy to just 1-shot her at low health right at the end of the phase as you get off the Angel Baby.

I had the same thing happen to me, but my buddy was also playing with me. When it happened, I was so confused I instantly went into panic mode thinking I was playing some kind of anti piracy version of cuphead and instantly got shot down by thunderbolts.

I did that once, I didn’t know anybody knew about it, I did it on accident

It's a speedrun strat that was discovered a while ago. Thought it would be nice to actually try it and share it with everyone!

Depending on the difficulty, you can look at your EX card progress to determine how close she is to 1 HP. You could also just memorize how many shots it takes with something like Charge.

If you look closely, they are actually rulers. You'd think it'd be crosses because it's a Nunnery, but nope they're rulers.

Jutsu means 'technique', so...

It's just a quirky name for tips or tricks I have for certain bosses. It's a "secret phase" for a reason, so I wanted to mention it before talking about the phase skip later on.

No, they are definitely rulers if you look closely at them. You'd think it'd be crosses, but it's surprisingly not. Also, a quote from the wiki, "Also, instead of her children throwing baby bottles straight down, a Nun in the nunnery throws a ruler aiming at the player(s), which sometimes can be parried."

Why do people play only normally or very standard during a normal playthrough? I think it's quite literally just up to taste. I find satisfaction in trying to beat a boss as efficiently and effectively as possible, along with speedrunning bosses for the lowest time possible. After beating the game, the only new stuff you can really do (besides the DLC) is beat bosses on Expert, S Rank, or get high grades or P Ranks on the Run 'N Guns, so you can probably see how the game can be repetitive and the same thing over again. I'm quite fine with this myself, but it doesn't mean it's not interesting to see how professional Cuphead players such as speedrunners take this game to a new level, and I honestly love sharing to everyone anything that can make the game more appealing and unique to newer or long time players! @@MrKap you're right in this regard. It can be interesting to see how speedrunners literally bend the game while playing it. I personally can't relate to playing this way because I am very much a head-through-wall type player but of course everybody can play as he likes as long as he has fun ;)
