I love the way you have started opening your food adventures with atmospheric shots of the city and scenery--it gives a feel of a documentary type movie (your opening of the matcha boba tea video was the best--really atmospheric and professional looking). Your humor flavored reviews are charming and so much more interesting than channels that just give straight up boring reviews. I love the way the two of you can't help laughing at your own jokes; it's really charming. You're both doing a great job and I can't wait for your next gourmet adventure. If I may make a suggestion--if possible, you should try to let us see you guys going to as many different Chinese ethnic restaurants as you can (like not just the common ones but like Hakka, Hmong, etc.) trying to hit all 56 ethnicities if that's even possible and let us know the distinct traits of each. You could call it the "56 Quest" or something .

Excellent video. I really enjoyed watching this so much, it was like I was there also...but sadly not able to eat the delicious food. You both have such great personalities and it really shines through in the videos. Putting this restaurant on my list of places to go in NYC when we visit.

I just had dinner at a Szechuan restaurant too!. I like lamminess! Sadly my candy coated sweet potato dessert wasn't as good as I had it the last time . But I still like the idea of dipping it in cold water to crystalize the coated sweet potato . Was there a dessert menu at the place you ate?

The "tang" in Mala tang actually means "hot". It is the down tone, not the flat tone. ;)

麻辣烫Ma La Tang's "tang" actually is 烫，which means quickly boiled/hot in temperature, instead of 汤（soup).

Han Dynasty (Handy Nasty) is right up the street from Hot Kitchen! I think it's great and it tends to be spicer as well 😬👍🔥🔥🔥 ... haven't tried Mala yet, that's also right up the street. For some reason there are quite a few spots in the EV haha

If you're eating in America, I bet you that they adjusted the spice level to the Local's taste. Authentic Sichuan's food is freakin spicy.

I absolutely love Sichuan cuisine. One of my favorite dishes is Spicy Boiled Fish Filets. What you had there doesn't look the same at all. I seriously doubt it tasted the same either. My spice level tolerance is very high, and authentic Spicy boiled Fish Fillets is around 8.5+/10. Speaking of authentic, are you sure the dishes in this restaurant were not a bit Americanized? I used to work with a guy who claimed he could eat any spicy food you could put in front of him. He was one of those people who is really, really pale. We took him to a Hunan restaurant, and he bit into a red pepper and turned the brightest red I've ever seen a person turn. I was worried he was going to die.

Plain rice helps with spice. I love spicey food.

As an Asian I'm used to sharing dishes and speaking with mouth full etc, but I have to say Felicia is on the borderline of unmannered eating habits..
